Amazing what you can do if you have a list!

to add to this I also
found some soup in freezer which I took round to Mum together with a portion of chilli and one of spag bol
Never made it to gym, but parked car at Mum's and walked into town (saved car park fee) and went from one end of town to the other, no idea how far, but needed chocolate at the end of it.

£20 of BB money has arrived in account magically, but with yesterday's date, it wasn't there this morning. Now have £62 in 'bingo account' another £42 still to come!

There's nothing on the telly so am watching old episodes of House, have asked for new series for Christmas.

hi gill - just wanted to wish you luck on your journey. I was unemployed for 6 months of this year - and like you was living on a lump sum... I made it tho and am back in work. I think the secret is to apply for lots of jobs and ideally post your CV without your home address on monster and total jobs and sign up with agencies....

Thanks for the support, its very scary but I think manageable. Have registered with a few agencies, but they do seem to misinterpret my skills a bit!
I don't want to get too used to being at home, which is why I have a few part time jobs that don't earn much but keep me busy. I could get very used to just baking and making cards. If I could make a living out of that I'd be fine.

  • So far today have 'won' £12.50 on bingo. Currently averaging a fiver a day. not a lot but adds up over the month.

    And now this...

This was in the weekly email a few weeks ago
    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/new...gage-customers

Today I have received a letter, as a previous GMAC customer and have to contact them to verify my identity and they will send me £108.54

Result!! Thanks MSE and the FSA

    For the rest of today

Take back multi card thingy for computer and get one that works!
Ring friend and check if we are still on for lunch
    If so, lunch then nothing
If not - make calendars, gift boxes etc.
    Ironing!!

  • Pay day today!
Yesterday met friend for lunch, but stayed in so no spend.
    Took card thingy back
    Watched rubbish on telly

Today won some bits on BB, but only 67p so I played that and won £3.30. They are quite quick to pay out, unlike TAB who take 4 or 5 days to pay out.

Current BB stands £42 profit, with £20 from TAB. Not bad since 11th. so nearly a tenner a day.

Have around £7 in purse, so will sort cash out later.

    Need to
send form to Inland Revenue for rebate of NI for self employed
collect wages and work out next weeks budget - think wages around £90 mark
check on xmas stuff - whats left to make - sort out cellophane and packing stuff.
get chicken carcass out of freezer for soup
    update spreadsheets
    play through my £5 bingo
makes some more cards - another fayre on Saturday
Go to mum's to sort printer out - use said printer to do some cards and backing papers!
    Flylady stuff
    chase up PPI

  • Another £3 on bingo this morning, all these little bits add up, but look rather odd on the bank account, paying 20 in to take 23 out, but thats their problem, money is money.

checked ipsos account and its finally updated, so have enough points for £20 worth of vouchers. Have ordered Boots ones, will use them for presents.

Thinking about something on Hypno's thread about having a 'neutral' Christmas next year, will definitely do that I think. If can just get one or two surveys a week, will give enough for it.

Food shopping with £40 - but need to get cleaning stuff etc. Have some soup made and will put breadmaker on so is ready when I get back from Christmas Fayre.

Last night saw 4 houses with Xmas decs up! For Pete's sake :eek:it's November.

    hi Gill

Have you looked at the special occasions board - they have lots of suggestions for low cost presents - that would also work at craft fairs

Last year I made flannel reindeers, flannel cupcakes, sock cup cakes, pots of gold and all sorts, snowman soup..... Check it out...
