As advised am putting up a revised SOA but it doesn't make any sense to me:confused:mainly because it doesn't take into account the fact that the cash in bank will pay the secured loans for a while. Should I divide this up and put it in as income does anybody know??

Any suggestions gratefully received I have put little comments against some of it!

Hiya Gilli, sorry i cannot help with you SOA, I cant see what you can do but maybe someone with more experience can offer some help. Well done on not buying the shoes. I would say ok with the cd. I know if I did not get myself a little something when i was down, i would just blow it and splurge. i am not in a lot of debt, its roughly £3500. it was the spending and not keeping track of what bills were to pay that got me into trouble.

I am working on a cheap xmas at the moment, so thats keeping me away from wasting my money the moment. but I will need a plan for January to keep me going.

Yesterday I made a start on Christmas cards, nothing fancy just little ones that children will buy. Often at Christmas fayres they run round clutching pound coins and there's nothing they can buy.
Don't expect this to make me much, it just keeps me being creative.

Sorted out all the stuff I've bought - worked out whats left.
Ordered envelopes, also some more ribbons and stuff to tart gifts up with.
Went to pound shop and bought boxes
Looked at half finished embroidery and cross stitch and worked out which ones were do-able, some are just too big and should never have been started.

Also found the original agreement from CCCS, and am going to come up with a proper plan rather than this vagueness.

I haven't been out of work for long so part time earnings were just a supplement, now that they are all I've got, I will have a better idea this afternoon of the average I can expect and work from there.

    Phew!!

Hiya Gilli, do you intend doing cards all year round ? reason i ask is. I have a lot of cards i have made or half made, but i'm not interested in it, to fiddley and boring for me, i like big results quick lol. If I knew where to send them to you quite welcome to them. I understand you may not want to give total stranger your or an address, so no problem if you delcline the offer

    Grrrr!!
Why is it when you do quick reply the system sometimes loses it.

Anyway today is shopping day, its also the point at which I'm most skint. Technically there is money in the bank, but its there to pay the mortgage etc. so what I'm trying to do is treat it as if I was still working and pay things on the day I normally would.
So I've checked the cupboards and fridge etc. and can get away with a 'small shop' today, will just go local, not big supermarket. Can probably get a way with a tenner but will take more -just in case - cash only of course! I know it leads to temptation taking out more than you need but have been caught out before when Mum wanted eggs and I didn't have a spare 83p!
Problem with little local shops is they don't open early enough for someone who is an early bird!

  • Have had an odd few days, so not been on here much.

Watched Grand Prix on Sunday, cheering on Jenson Button, when friend rang to say her dad had died. Blew me away a bit.
Monday was absolutely skint, did leaflet deliveries and some other bits and bobs.
Tuesday - planned on doing ironing- but the usage monitor from British Gas arrived so played with that a while, it frightened me so much I didn't dare turn anything on.
Wednesday - a good day, Mum paid back some money she owed me that I'd completely forgotten about, so used it to completely clear overdraft. Went to visit friend and her mum, took them back to her house to pick up stuff and then back to her mum's - good to get a good run out in the car.
Today, so far, have done farming, internet banky thingy, only £8 odd PAD as this is the rounding and not sure about money for rest of month. And then got a phone call, I've got a job interview!! Absolutley petrified, last time I had a job interview was so nervous they nearly called an ambulance my heart rate was that fast!!

As yesterday was pay day from my various jobs, went shopping. normally I spend around £25 -30 in supermarket and then bits and bobs in local shops, total around £40 -45 depending. Bit better off this week as holiday pay went into account but haven't worked it all out yet. Last night, son came with me and it was a whopping £75:eek: partly due to the amount of alcohol that found its way into the trolley. Still need to do home and bargain shop for some basics. Can't believe how much we spent and not got meal plans done yet!

So I'll count that as a bit of a blip.
Off to sort out spreadsheets as need to juggle money between accounts.

  • Its been a busy few days and spent far more than I should have so need to get back on track.

Was busy over weekend running friend round, and family stuff.
Working all day Monday, then Tuesday morning had haircut. Won't chance letting apprentice do it so cost a fortune, then went and bought clothes!! I haven't bought myself anything for ages at least a year so it was a bit odd, but needed white top for funeral, and decided to get new stuff for interview.

Tuesday afternoon, friends dad's funeral, always a bit upsetting, and then yesterday was interview for job. Have got all the skills but don't think I sold myself enough. Lack of confidence really, could do the job, but can't put it across in evidence based interview.

Will find out early next week, so fingers crossed.
