What is snowman soup please? :D

Build one snowman chop into bits including carrot and coal put in slow cooker for 10 hours and garnish with a scarf :rotfl:or alternatively search snowman soup on the forums and you will get a more sensible response :D

    Morning,

woke up to the sound of rain - in my bedroom, the gutter has gone again  Fortunately nothing was damaged.

I know I should get the original firm back but really can't be bothered with his excuses as to why its my fault,so will just have to plead with DS's friend to borrow a set of ladders and do it for me.

Off to brave the Runcorn Bridge, it will be really busy today. Usually is, in bad weather for some reason.

Traffic not too bad either way today.

Had one of those annoying days when I got 80% of what I needed doing done, but kept getting given 'more important' work so although I've saved what I've done, I'll have to backtrack over some of it again tomorrow.

I wish they wouldn't be so much into reactive/crisis management here, or so much into back covering emails. I think I'm getting annoyed now because I've got somewhere else to go (hopefully)

DS still hasn't got his permit sorted, so is still not working. His supervisor is trying to sort something out, legally he's not allowed to work, but as its the employers' fault they should find some way of paying him. Otherwise it will be back to 'bank of mum'. He is going along to CAB tomorrow to see if they can advise him.

I've now worked out my spreadsheets, putting in a running balance, rather than the way I normally do it. It works for me.

Weather forecast is 'fine and bright' for the next few days so looking forward to that.

I've got £12 left in my purse and get paid tomorrow :jso doing well with that at the moment. I also strangely still have over half a tank of petrol, no idea why I've used less. Taking lunch in again, so that's 4 days this week. Tomorrow someone is leaving and they are ordering pizza, so will probably join in with that.

Have found the supplier I used last year for cellophane, now need to get the Christmas box down and see what I have left from last year, I may not need to buy any more. I've also found somewhere to get cracker snaps from, and plain white boxes that I can stamp up and use for little gifts. BUT I am really resisting the temptation to buy something other than what I need, I can go a bit mad with craft catalogues.

Sounds good, apart from craft-catalogue-madness :) But don't you just hate crisis management? Especially when you're clawing your own way out of it financially ...

Here's to fine and bright - lovely sky here at the moment, bright blue all over :)

The day started off really foggy, or is it misty, and I missed an accident on the motorway by seconds, it was just in front of me in the outside lane. Made me feel a bit sick. Beautiful day later on though.

Today also went from bad to worse as one of the offices lost all IT systems and phones. So we got a phone call from one of the managers, on a mobile, asking us to report it, but they had absolutely no contingency plan. So they all ran round like headless chickens for a while. Crisis management again.

Yippee! Was chatting to a colleague and spotted some lovely cellophane wrap she had next to her desk. Turns out her daughter has a part time business doing wedding favours, and so she's taking me to the wholesalers to see if I can pick anything up. Obviously will go armed with the prices from my favourite Ebay sellers.
