Getting out of my comfort zone

Hi Se & kc
that's one of the things I am looking at as I quite like the car, and it is an option. It does depend on the amount of mileage I end up doing, as it may not be worth keeping if I do high mileage. It's only a little Ford Fiesta, so not suitable for lots of motorway driving. If I'm driving a lot, I may be better with a diesel. For now I've got a bit of breathing space.
New job will involve a fair amount of travel, so it will only be once I start job shadowing and induction, that I will get a feel for how much.
Mum's delivery has arrived. It also includes a lot of what I shall euphemistically call 'hygiene products' so no idea how I'm going to get them into my car. May have to wait for DS to come with me.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Have had a very busy time at Mum's, the new frame came with a note that she wasn't to use it until the physiotherapist came to show her how. How difficult can it be? Anyway, yet again, I've done more housework in her house than I ever do in my own!
I pottered round the yard earlier, and then when in Mum's found a lounger type deck chair that she can't use any more, so we now have a comfy chair for the yard. The ones we have are fine for just sitting chatting, but you can't really relax in them.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Have just been outside and DS is sat on one of the chairs and has lit the little stove thing. That's what summer evenings are all about.:)Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

How idyllic (the lounger not the ... products ...). Speaking of which, I've just seen your location on here, and I *really* like it2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning
reading other peoples diaries yesterday, there seems to be a bit of a mix in the weather, but have to say that at the moment the weather here is absolutely glorious and has been all week. At the moment the sky is bright blue with just a few wispy clouds.
Today I am going to spend as much time outside as I can, and suspect that DS will want to cook food on BBQ. I think it must be a bloke thing (sorry if thats a bit sexist) this wish to burn food outside. The sun goes off the back of our house by about 4 so it is ideal for cooking, but as its quite a built up area there is a lot of shadow and it gets cold quickly.
Although I must admit that it was nice with the heater thing on last night, I think its called a chiminea so it looks pretty too! I may well sit out there with the odd glass of wine.
I'll have to look up whether I can use the ash anywhere,Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

My soap cutter has arrived!! I've been cutting with a knife (well a meat cleaver really!) and then saw this.
I also want to buy all sorts of stuff and had to restrain myself, as I've far too much craft stuff as it is. I'd like to make 'proper' soap, rather than just melt & pour, but as I only give mine away as gifts its not a problem.
I have also seen these cutters on ebay for £14, so it shows that it pays to look around.
I WILL NOT SPEND ALL DAY MAKING SOAP!

I am having to severely restrain myself from getting into craft fair mode. I had thought about doing more, and doing them seriously, hence the buying the soap cutter etc. I'd worked out all the costings etc, so may now look at just doing one or two to pay for Christmas. Just need to do some thinking, and may let people test them for me. It's different giving them to family as they don't criticise, but strangers is a bit different.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Not sure about your new purchase will have to be careful not to upset you or else it will be orrrffff with her head :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was impressed with your soap before you got your new cutter so I don't see why you shouldn't go for it
I am trying to perfect some new crafts so it must be in the air and been searching ebay for particular buttons I need until my eyes are crossed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
If I ever get them perfected and you want to share a stall let me know
I have been sitting out in the garden whilst doing it so not all bad:D
