Will be thinking about you tomorrow fingers crossed

Thanks for your good wishes folks:)
I made it to zumba last night, really enjoyed it, and it did stop me focussing on the interview. I realised that because they had said 'presentation' I was really concentrating on that, and forgetting about the basics that they ask in every interview. So having a break from timing the presentation helped me to think of those things too.
It seemed to go OK, a few nods etc. but you can't really tell. I won't know for a few weeks
Tomorrow I am going out for lunch with some of the people from work, but otherwise a quiet day planned.
Been to fat club, lost another 3½ pounds. But then again, I've hardly eaten today with driving and then 2 hours interview process; although I did force myself to eat breakfast.
Will start doing proper money posts again soon. Get paid tomorrow, so will do some adding up, work out where I go from here.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

What DT said - 3.5 lbs is a great loss.
Do you want that job in itself, or solely as an income?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I actually want that sort of job, not necessarily for this company. I could do it, and do it well. Its still consultancy work, so the sort of thing I'm doing at the moment.
Regarding the income, its less than I earn as self employed, still good money though. I hadn't actually considered going back to being an employee, but the circumstances were such that I'd have been daft to turn the chance down.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Well done on the weight loss and the interview and presentation.
Hope they reply quicker than expected, unfortunately at this time of year with peoples holidays it seems to always slow down recruitment decisions.0 -
Its good that you want it for itself, then ... like se said, tho, this time of year recruitment can be slow, rats. Hope everything's going well for you

Morning all
I can't believe how tired I was when I got home yesterday.....well actually I can :DOn Tuesday night I was on the phone to sister, and realised how tired I was. I needed to move or I'd have fallen asleep at 8. Went out for a long walk, and ended up in Pizza Express. No vouchers or anything, but I just wanted to stop and chill for a bit. Probably didn't do much for my weight loss, but I needed the carbs.
Yesterday was a lovely day. Obviously all the work is done, it was putting all the documentation together and sorting out what will be useful 'portfolio' stuff. Interesting to find the report I wrote in the first few weeks, and see how everything worked out.
Went for lunch, quite a few people in the end and we had a lovely time. They gave me some lovely flowers and a card.
A thought; you know when someone is leaving etc. and you maybe don't know them that well, so can't think of anything to write. Well most of the things on the card were very well thought out, and seemed really genuine. I also got a couple of bottles of really nice wine.
Today I will sort out all my work folders that have been living in my briefcase; put together a portfolio and also use what I've done to get some templates organised.
Washing machine is on - beautiful day so will get some of it dry.
Then DS is going to murder someone in HSBC so I'm going to watch :rotfl:Every time he rings them up with a query, they flag his account as fraudulent transactions and reset his details. So then he can't get onto online banking to check his account. Last month he went slightly overdrawn for a week, and had charges applied. I put the money in to cover it, this month he has not been overdrawn until Friday when they took over 100 quid in charges out:eek: All this for an account he pays about 200 a month into.
Have a good day if you're reading.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Gosh I'm angry!!
Does anyone use quidco? I did a reserve and collect order for my sister and had to validate the transaction by putting in the receipt number. I've never been able to do that, it just doesn't work. So they declined the cashback, I raised a query, and they declined the cashback because I never collected the goods! I have the receipt in front of me! So I raised another query, and the reply is that the receipt number is from the automated till, and their system doesn't recognise the number. So why is that my fault!
I know its only 90p, but its MY 90p!

Absolutely understand how furious you are! They really don't get it, do they - they just get *our* money .... don't blame you for watching while DS murders someone about his account either _pale_ though in reality it would be a bit ... messy ...
Focus back on how nice people were yesterday, and the portfolio building!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
