I tried spray tan once .... Believe me that was enough lol .... Have a good weekend me dear0

Oh wow! Ladies Day! I bet thats really something - sadly, its not something I've ever experienced ... and as for tan .... I am considering using Clarins fake tan thing, for the wedding - I don't even know where the box is now, but I just may try to find it

Glad to hear your mum's settled in back home - warfarin is tricky, the dosage is very exact, and the medical teams seem to change it constantly, and there's even different dosages on different days to accommodate tablet size (there's a warfarin clinic in Formby ...).
How did the meal out with the girls go? What did you have?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning
jobs done so far today
bed stripped
one wash load done and on line
another load in machine
bathroom done
kitchen started
starting to clear living room - going to clean carpets later
jobs to do
MY BEDROOM - its become a dumping ground again.
back living room/dining room - ditto
KC - had a lovely night out with the girls, went for Chinese, set meal is always easier; and we people watched.
But... the sights you see when you haven't got your gun
There were lots of really pretty girls in floaty dresses, with fascinators, heels, the full works; and then their mates in appalling outfits. And we kept thinking 'don't they have mirrors', didn't their friends say -'well actually that dress is too tight/revealing/short'. Or is it that whole mutual appreciation thing, where they all tell each other how marvellous they look without actually thinking about it.
Even better, was the number of them walking round in flip flops because their shoes hurt. Far too many had the same ones on, so I guess they were freebies. In previous years, there are generally goody bags given out after the races, which include flip flops. My pair from a few years ago were bright yellow, with a MERSEYTRAVEL logo, on. These looked a bit less obvious, as they were black.
It's also unusual to see groups of men out for a meal, all in suits etc
So all in all a good day.
Will finish tidying, wait for online grocery delivery and then head up to mum's.
Hope everyone's enjoying the sun.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

It sounds fantastic! :j
And you sound like you've been working far too hard this morning
Love the analysis of the girls .... the thing thats *always* struck me is that you see a girl who's obviously spent *hours* doing herself up, and the bloke she's with has t shirt and jeans on ... its a bit different nowadays, lots of the lads round here are emo, and their hair is as carefully done as the girls is (and the makeup, quite often!) but still. Mind you, men in suits out for a meal - not businessmen? V cool

The difference a year makes!
This time last year, I had only just started work after being unemployed, and was wary of spending money as the job was only for 8 weeks.
Now, I am self employed, have work for the next couple of months, and money in the bank.
So have just 'blown' 20 quid on the National. I signed up for online bet, and was going to do a tenner, but if you did 20 you got a free bet. It's only for fun, and chances of getting anything are slim. But last year, I couldn't even have considered risking 20 quid.
Oh and yesterday, before the night out with the girls, I used Boots points to buy some new makeup - rather than saving them for Christmas. I can start saving again for Christmas.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Thats lovely! I've been spending a bit today too - mostly in charity shops and a jumble sale (first one I've been to for 20 years!) but I did also buy a printer - needed it, but not quite planned for today, iyswim...2023: the year I get to buy a car0

KC - how did you manage to carry a printer?
More washing on the line, I just love the fact that I can dry it outside. Today is ironing, ironing and more ironing. Or at least while I watch the GP. After that I may potter with my salad stuff, not sure yet that the danger of frost has gone.
I am waiting for phone call from sister to say she's going to see Mum, as since Wednesday, she's sort of left it to me.
Part of me feels bad, playing games as it were, but then she should do more. I know she doesn't always have a car, but there are other things she can do. When she does have the car she could take things back with her. She could do the bill paying for example, and as she has a big garden, she could take Mum's washing and get it done.
***Mini rant over***
But its such a lovely day!
I also fancy going out for a walk later.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Rant on! I know I would in your situation.
I didn't carry the printer - I told the sales-person (-boy, eek) that I wasn't buying today .... then when I realised quite what a bargain it was, I said I couldn't carry it home .... then he said when the shop shuts one of them could bring it by to me (no extra charge). Too good to miss! It was going cheap because a new one is coming out, that was why. Mind you, 2 of the library books were pretty heavy, so I ended up hurting a bit afterwards, but carrying the printer would've been impossible - your sense of things was spot on

I'll never get the hang of this online betting malarkey! Managed to back 2nd and 4th in the National, so by my reckoning either broke even or lost a couple of quid, but I've made a couple of quid. It must be the different SP's or something.
Busy day yesterday, new office etc. I have to hot desk so that's a bit odd. Yesterday was sat at 'casey's' desk
Walked to Zumba, got caught in hailstorm on the way back and then watched Waking the Dead. So I guess there's a spin off series??
Oops and never had anything to eat
Today my car was blocked in the hotel car park, wouldn't have mattered last week as I walked to work, but didn't fancy 3 miles with laptop etc. So got the bus, which was odd, as I had absolutely no idea where i was!
Spends yesterday 4.00 Zumba - 65p for bottle of water because forgot one.
Today 2 lots of 1.90 bus fare and a fair amount of walking. (still got no pound sign)
I really must start throwing more money at credit card, but feel like I'm having more effect by putting it off mortgage. Annual statement should be due soon, so will update sig with total.
I don't know if I've lost any more weight as I don't have scales, so can only weigh myself at sister's, but trousers feel looser, so may get the tape measure out and keep a record that way.
Off out for a walk in a bit.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
