  • MORNING ALL :hello:

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE FAMOUS FLYLADY VIBES!!!!

Yes, I know I'm shouting! I am such an amazing day yesterday. My manager really stoop up for me,:j:j:T:T:j:j not that I'd done anything wrong! I don't think it's appropriate for me to go into the details on here, but suffice it to say, I was expecting my big boss to have spat her dummy out, and want to haul me over the coals. Instead, what I got was contrition :j :j :j :j *insert fainting smilie* !!!!! Fortunately, there are so many other issues surrounding what had happened with me last week, that it's ceased to be about me, and had become about the issues! And it was the issues my line manager was so spectacularly cross about! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I really wish I could tell you the story, but it's too identifying ;) Anyhoo!! I feel so much better now. :D:D

Diva and everyone else that's commented about those boots.... I know  They are spectacular! *sigh* That would have to be a lottery win for me to own those.

I s'pose I'd better get on, I'm sure I'll be back later, although I've a busy day ahead.

Toots have a gorgeous day with your lovely brother. :D

Sorry I haven't been about much... I'm having some problems with my chair/workstation at work that are causing quite a bit of pain and I'm getting really fed up with it

Had a DSE assessment yesterday, and the assessor claimed I'd be OK 'as these chairs are top of the range and work for everyone'. So not happy... and am waiting for a call from my GP for a physio referral. I did speak to the insurance company's GP service last night who confirmed I should get more qualified advice as the training for doing DSE assessments is somewhat limited (I've been doing them for years, so I'm inclined to agree!)

Anyway, must drag myself into the shower and off to work, ready to battle with HR once again for the right to have 'reasonable adjustments' made to my working conditions! It's a pity, as despite my boss (!) the work is interesting, but at the end of the day, I can't jeopardise my health.

I'll catch up later... and I have to remember to get passport photos too!

  • greenbee - just because the chair was expensive and can be adjusted to suit all shapes and sizes does not mean it is suitable for 'everybody' not if you have specific problems - go get em!
SS - glad things turned out so well
fedup - hope you feel better today
pigpen - I wasn't going to nag, but was worried you were not going to get any help. But how far will you have to travel to another hospital? Can you put in an official complaint about what happened?
lil-me - love all the new furniture :T
Sunshine this morning. Decided to have the morning off and go into town. I need to collect a prescription, buy some presents and get some pen refills. Besides I need a change of scene.

SarahS - brilliant news and such a relief for you. Hope things settle down and that you can build a good relationship with your manager after this.

FedUp, Mudbath and anyone else who needs good vibes - hope the day treats you well, and keep on battling!

Today is my study day, so I'm going to try to knuckle down, but I feel a little disappointed that I didn't get any flying done yesterday in the end (just cooking and clearing up the kitchen afterwards). :o

I may try to whip round my bedroom with the hoover later on, now that it is tidy, but can't work out whether this is a study-evasion tactic or genuine heroism

Also feeling a little cheesed off about my hearing test yesterday: went to get my ears checked as I've being saying "WHAT? PARDON?" rather a lot recently, especially to DD who talks very fast and without many consonants !

Turns out my left ear only has 65% hearing in the upper registers. Ho hum. Not enough for a hearing aid yet, they say, but enough to make life tedious.... Right ear is down a bit, too, but not as much.

But what *really* hurt was the fact that the rather gorgeous late-20s-yr old audiologist smiled gently at me as he explained that this was something one had to expect as one grew elderly... ELDERLY??????

I'M ONLY IN MY 40s CHRISSAKES! :rotfl:

Clearly the Flylady routine has left me haggard and gnarled beyond my years. :p

Off to study (but without creasing the forehead with concentration, in case Meals on Wheels start demanding to call round...)
