Just been looking on the betterware website and noticed they have bed, potato and vegetable storage bags to keep them fresher for longer.
Has anyone tried them and are they worth it??

I do have a cloth bag for my potatoes which does help a bit to stop them rooting. I dont think the bread bag is useful- it might be best to either to take out what you need from the freezer and use a bread bin?0

I've got a potato and bread bag (from lakeland though should be the same). Bread bag definatly makes bread stay softer for longer - potatoesstill spout a bit in the potato bag but last longer before doing so. I've not done a proper test though (in the interests of research I'll do that next time I get some!!)0

I use an air tight bread barrel that keeps bread fresh for days and I store all my veg (except potatos) in the fridge and they last really well.0

If you have access to a sewing machine then a sacking or hessian bag is ideal for storing potatoes in. You can pick up hessian for less than £1 metre so doesn't work out so expensive to make your own.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Hi
I have to say i had these exact same bags, and for some reason they seemed to make my veg rotten much quicker.
I don't know why, i threw them away after a while.0 -
Gloria Hunniford seems ecstatic about her spud bag and non sprouty potatoes!'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

I too have the Lakeland bread bag and it definitely makes my home made bread last longer, but I doubt it would last the 7 days they suggest. I might give the potato bag a go now!Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0 -
In the Betterware catalogue thats just come through my door the have fabric bags 'with a special lining' to keep your bread fresh for longer. As we are now making all our bread we don't have the plastic bags to keep it in, these sounded a good idea.
However I remember reading that a hessian sack will work as well as there 'Potato Bags' so I thought I'd check it out before buying.
Does anyone have any experience of them? Or are there any other good ways of keeping it as fresh as possible?

I wrap mine in greaseproof paper - bit like wrapping a present VERY loosley & leaving one end just folded/scrunched - it gets easier as the loaf gets smaller lolI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0
