FWIW, I opened the account in branch on the 23rd, paid in the £500 on the 23rd, and at the same time set up the SO for 30th May from Lloyds current account. Then on the 30th when I saw the SO had gone through I changed the SO online to June 1st. The money went through and has been in the Regular Saver account all day.0

You have FOURTEEN regular savers?! If they're all on £250 that's a good £3500 being tucked away every month!

Pagan98 wrote:My wife did the same (albeit the first SO went out on 31 May). The 1 June transaction was also showing successfully last night but this morning it has disappeared. Talking to Lloyds TSB, they state that the standing orders must be 28 days apart! We have raised a formal complaint as this conflicts with their T&Cs which only say one payment per calendar month.
Anyone else had the same problem?
I set first SO to go out on 31st May. I checked it was in the Monthly Saver account on the 31st then went into the branch that day to change the SO so payment would also go out the next day (1st June). The cashier was confused by this and didn't think it could be done but she went to check with her supervisor and said it should be fine. I just checked now and it's still saying £1,000 so definitely kick their !!! if they are messing you about!0 -
I went in and opened my account on the 30th and paid £500 into the account. I moaned that because the earliest appointment they could give me was the 30th but i really wanted to pay in my money and have the standing order set up for the 1st and the chap i saw told me it wouldnt be a problem but he did say, that this months payment would be slightly later than the 1st. He was right, they have took the £250 standing order that i wanted to start on the 1st, today. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The £1K is still there this morning so it's been 24hours now. Will keep checking !0

It's occurred to me that if one SO went in on 31/5 and the other on 1/6 - perhaps the 31/5 didn't "clear" until 1st June and maybe that's why my June 1st SO was sent back. Who knows !
Anyway they took my details yesterday and said they would phone today - maybe that'll shed some light on it.
It seems that generally most people are ok with the two close SO's so perhaps it is something else withe mine and pagan98.0 -

I've just checked with Lloyds this morning. My monthly saver still has a £1,000 balance. No funds have been transferred back to my current account. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
Am kicking myself! Went into my local branch on the Tuesday - day after it was advertised but they didn't really know anything about it and gave me an all-purpose form to fill in. Thought it would be better to do it by 'phone, so called them and set it up two days later - Thursday. Was told the paperwork would go out to me that night. Still not received. Nothing taken yet from current account and SO not set up. Called them yesterday and was told it would take 7-10 working days, as there was a backlog! So now we're into June and no money gone into account. Did that all wrong!0
