I have been in today to set up my regular saver. It was pretty painless and they didnt try and sell me anything.
Anyway, i told the chap i really wanted my regular saver to go out on the first of the month and he said he would arrange it so that my first payment would go out a little late this month but my standing order would be set up for the 1st of the month. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I opened over the phone last Tuesday as well. Just logged in, but the account has only been credited with the £500 opening amout, and no standing order credit. Checked my main account and there is not yet a standing order set up for the saver (I asked for the 30 of the month). Anyone else found the same?0 -

Yup, mine's the same. Changed the SO to the 2nd June. I don't think they need any notice period as it is done online and Lloyds-to-Lloyds SO's are same day transfers0 -

Time to worry. Tempting to set it up online yourself but you dont want two to go through. Go to your branch and give 'em hell.0 -
I'm a Lloyds TSB customer and opened mine over the phone last Monday after seeing the post on here.
The lady on the other end told me I'd need to transfer the money into my current account (£500) cause as soon as she hit the button the money would be transferred.
Guess what? No transfer.
Spoke to Lloyds TSB customer services (India - bless them they have good intentions but absolutely no information to work with). The account is not listed on their system. He even went so far as to say I'd still receive the interest on the delayed transfer with no proof the account was even set up!!
I'll give it until tomorrow and then complain.Debt free (apart from mortgage)0 -

My account is now showing as open ( wife's not showing, - set up last Monday evening but suppose might be because its my personal log on , so not showing her account - all other accounts are joint )
They have not made the £500 transfer to either account nor set up S/O yet
EDIT...they have just transferred the first £500 acrossAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

Mine has gone into my regular saver on the 30th too, making the balance £750. I haven't received my Lloyds TSB online login details yet, but the adviser told me that the payment had gone in. On my request, they have now changed my SO to the 1st June. Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -
I'll repeat my advice on account opening for those who are going to do it in June (end of June fox max interest!):
DO IT IN BRANCH with someone who is account opening trained. It can be done there and then and you can see it on the screen.0
