Because its funny that your taking the bait, I know that no one is going.
What bait? I'm asking a question based on your post that's all.
Plus you don't know that nobody is going at all.
You couldn't possibly know unless someone tells you are they are or aren't.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Deep down I know, deep deep down.
Hook. Line. Sinker.I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!:j:j:jNegotiate, Negotiate, and Negotiate again.:j:j:j0 -
You see I don't always buy this "cashing in" attitude. Everyone spends their money on their priorities, so for some a wedding and all it can entail is worth the expenditure, for others it is a flash car, expensive holidays, top of the range kitchen etc. You pay your money and you decide where and what you buy. If it is too expensive you scale it down, no one is obliged to pay xxx for venue a, they can decide to pay a smaller amount for venue b. Ultimately, it is about supply and demand. So if people make different choices to you, that is their business, and they should not be derided for it, particularly from someone who depends on that business for their own living.
As you say, tone of voice does not come across well on a forum, so content is all we have to go by. You do come across as someone who feels they are so special, and have such taste, that everyone should feel blessed to be invited (even if some of them are obviously going to be less welcomed and more tolerated) and be happy with anything they are offered because it comes from you. You also come across and judgemental and intolerant of anyone who does not see things your way. Now, all of the above may be wrong, it may be that you are posting tongue in cheek...only you know that.
The best organisers or hosts are those who have empathy, and can engage with others, can take a idea and make it special, not those who look down on others if they have different ideas to their own.0 -

Ahhh the penny drops! I like playing devil's advocate, it just amuses me how storth you are being.

Just because most disagree with you, you're trying to make it out like a huge joke.
Don't you think that the joke is on you? :rolleyes:I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!:j:j:jNegotiate, Negotiate, and Negotiate again.:j:j:j0 -

No, not really.
D'ya know what. I am so glad I don't have anyone like you doing anything for my wedding because your attitude really stinks.
And now I suppose you are going to tell me that I wouldn't be able to afford you? :rotfl:Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Playing devils advocate is one thing, giving an insight into your character by making certain comments is entirely another. I can tell the difference, and I know the difference....do you?0 -
But I don't do weddings for exactly this reason!! This is why I only do wedding production - nothing to do with het up brides, just the techinical. As I've already said. I just think that weddings should be a sign of love, joy and not a cash cow of ca-ching ca-ching ca-ching. This venue is well on board the wedding gravy train and it think its hilarious that people will milk their wedding even more than it already is milked. The teats are dry! When will people stop? How about a yearly wedding? How about a wedding a month? How about a wedding a week?I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!:j:j:jNegotiate, Negotiate, and Negotiate again.:j:j:j0
