Yawn yawn yawn, the idea of a load of married people wearing their wedding dress again is cute, cute like sticking pins in donkeys eyes. Its not a fancy dress party, its the sub context underneath that is of concern, who would want to go to an event in their wedding dress? The wedding event is over.

Who would want to go to a schoolie night in a school uniform?

    Their school days are over.

Who would want to go to an 80s night in 80s clothes?

    The 80s are so over.

I can go on all day if you like?

I went to a school disco when I was at Uni and went as a School Teacher. I made dentention slips and took a ruler.

And by the way... it was acceptable in the 80's.
I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!

It's definitely more MSE than having to buy a new dress for a charity ball, and it ensures a basic level of formality.

I wouldn't go, but then I probably wouldn't go to a hog roast either.

I remember when I was working at Stone Henge, there was a Hog Roast, Time Team made us all be quiet so they could record the sound of the fire, perhaps they don't have fire SFX in the Ch4 post production studios.

If people want to spend £1 of £100,000 on wedding whose concern is it of yours exacltly??? or are you just bitter that you cannot afford to spend as much on your wedding as your "clients"

In my personal opinion, the only thing TACKY that I have seen on this thread is your stuck up attitude!
