But I don't do weddings for exactly this reason!! This is why I only do wedding production - nothing to do with het up brides, just the techinical. As I've already said. I just think that weddings should be a sign of love, joy and not a cash cow of ca-ching ca-ching ca-ching. This venue is well on board the wedding gravy train and it think its hilarious that people will milk their wedding even more than it already is milked. The teats are dry! When will people stop? How about a yearly wedding? How about a wedding a month? How about a wedding a week?

Nobody will be milking their wedding for Gods sake, they have had their wedding and they are married (assuming we are talking about someone who is already married).

It's just a reason for them to go out in public again in their lovely wedding dress, have a laugh and help with proceeds for a charity!

I have a gorgeous pair of shoes that I wore for my birthday. I haven't worn them since. When I get them out again to wear, do you think I expect another 'birthday' day?????. Should I expect cake and candles and balloons because I want to wear my shoes again? :rotfl:

But you get where I'm coming from right? Wear your shoes again, please wear your gorgeous shoes. But don't expect a card.
I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!

And the ladies going to this ball can wear their dresses and not expect to walk away with presents and a new husband.

You get where I'm coming from, right? ;)

I actually think most of your posts are designed to promote the fact of your job, this thread seems to have backfired spectactularly.

I'm sure the charity benefiting from this event will be pleased to know that you will never have anything to do with them.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

I love my job dearly, its great fun, I would strongly recommend it as a career, I just don't like the ca-ching of venues cashing in on weddings

No, I still don't agree with you on your OP.

    Tacky is just an opinion.

A function where you would wear a wedding dress is not an excuse to have another wedding day.

It's a fancy dress party for charity where the theme happens to be wedding ~ that's all it is.

Yawn yawn yawn, the idea of a load of married people wearing their wedding dress again is cute, cute like sticking pins in donkeys eyes. Its not a fancy dress party, its the sub context underneath that is of concern, who would want to go to an event in their wedding dress? The wedding event is over.
