Hey that's not bad is she happy with that? every penny counts and if it would only have been lying around the house anyway then you may aswell pocket the cash. When I did the shopping I did it with retail eyes if she hasn't already signed upto this one I would recommend it to her.
You sound as though you are def on the right path good on you :TMarried 1st October 2015:heartpuls

It's raining! That would be a good enough excuse for me haha. That's good news about your parents helping you out for the wedding. Have you got the wedding arrangements sorted now? I believe that's stressful enough without everything else on top.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

I didn't do any gardening! Result I can normally find a way to avoid it
The wedding is getting there we have booked the church and reception, the wedding dress was brought in a closing down sale new for £150 and we have deposits on the cake which MIL is buying and the photographer, the rest will come together just got to pay for it LOL
I'm still not convinced by my parents they think OH is not good enough for me!!!!!!! They didn't like the face she had ds when we met and is not a yes sir no sir person they haven't seen de since she was 2 weeks old, they wanted OH to take her around and then wait in the car with ds until they were done. They also offered to buy baby stuff which OH borrowed from family in the end. There maybe conditions with the money and if it affects kids no chance. I see both kids as mine and equal.

HI well done for making a start. Good that you owned up to your OH and that you are now addressing this together... It does make a lot of difference if you do. Will look forward to seeing your progress!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Okay now I understand the implications, that must be really difficult for both of you! IMO I wouldn't let them pay for anything towards the wedding, like you said there could be a catch. They should accept your OH if she makes you happy and they should be happy for you regardless of their feelings.Married 1st October 2015:heartpuls

Thanks skint totally agree, I would like to think they will help without the conditions.
Today I banked the pennies and money from gold and applied for 3 Xmas jobs. I have also got an application form for work to help with my arrears if accepted they will pay a sum towards the arrears which will not require paying back. I feel cheeky applying but once I'm debt free I could make a donation to the trust or maybe arrange a fundraiser in work to give something back. e
