Snowmoredebt is getting sorted

Hi everyone

My partner is a long term lurker on MSE and after i finally admitted i have a problem with debt pointed me in this direction, I have read diarys and I hope I am accepted as part of this amazing community.
Here it goes my story

I am 26 with a family my partner soon to be Mrs Snowmoredebt 2 children ds aged 9 going on 90 and dd 7 months. I have debts which are unpaid I have not paid my natwest loan for 12 months and missed a few payments on a 0% agreement my credit car is being paid at minimum amount and the amount of bank charges are unreal.

I never told my partner about my debts and happily proposed we have booked to get married 14/08/2010 and promised the kids as a honeymoon we would all go to disneyland  My partner now knows the extent of what I have done and has promised to help, but has said we have to make enough money for disneyland as ds is so excited and she wont let him dowm :o The wedding is also to go ahead as her mum and dad have been paying bits and they are retired and can not afford to lose the money.

My partner is currently on Mat leave and not due to return till feb, her wages will be 0.00 for 3 months. My partner has debts which are under control and has never missed a payment and does overpay.

I'm so glad i have got this of my chest within 2 days I have admitted to my girlfriend and now on here to everyone else I will do this for me and my family. The one big lesson I have learnt is not to hide it - did my girlfriend shout..no I got a big cuddle and told we would sort it out together.

Thats my ramblings over for an hour will come back in an hour when im more composed and make a list of incoming and outgoings and set goals.

Any questions please ask

Our living arrangements are fairly staright forward :o we partially own the property along with OH parents we pay Mortgage and water rates and they pay the other bills. We take the children to places which are free as we are lucky enough to live in Plymouth so plenty around. The gym membership is a family membership which we use nearly everyday of the week we take the children go swimming ds goes to some of the sports classes and we use the gym facilities ds is also able to take his friends for free we use this as our entertainment.

I dont think i have left anything out I got in this mess from spending and trying to buy friends when i have plenty of real ones and a lovely family.

I have given my cards to my OH who has set me some goals :o

Dont worry not all my posts will be so long LOL

  • I should do that with my gold, did she get much for it? I don't know if she has ever considered Mystery shopping but she could do it whilst she is on maternity and take the baby with her. I did it for a time and whilst you don't get paid massive amounts it soon adds up and doesn't take long. Just a thought.

Good on you Snowmoredebt, starting is the most important step, and sounds like you have three very good reasons to get cracking. Keep going and you will be surprised how quickly you will start to make a dent in those debts. Good Luck

Hi everyone thank you for your support it really does help. Oh has previously signed up for mystery shopping but they never had any opportunitys in Plymouth, she will take another look on other sites.

OH received £35 for gold this included 1 ring 1 thin chain 1 thin ankle braclet and an odd small earing.
I have taken pictures for eBay and will be going to parents later to transfer to pc (ours is about 15 years old) I'm also going to see what they have laying around. We have also placed some ads in paper for prams and a bulk amount of cds.
I may try and setup a signature and will join some challenges soon.

Forgot to add the pay machine was out of order so got free parking in town centre saving £2 (I did call council and leave car reg on answerphone saying machine needs fixing just in case mr traffic warden came along)
