  • Hi all,

Been out today with a friend to go shopping, was looking for a school bag, originally saw one on the net for £22.50, however went into a bag shop, and saw one for a tenner so thought, bargain! went to the till and they said did you want anything else as its buy one get one free so then I got a another one, which means I got 2 for a tenner - well chuffed :D

    Thanks for the link :D

Happytobedebtfree I could get a light bulb and smash it over his head, and he still wouldn't see sense, he's so dramatic its ridiculus, a couple of days ago he was supportive and now hes being a idiot. He doesn't realise how much he upsets me sometimes, best thing is half these bloody loans are his anyway :(
Just read this - are you sure our OH's aren't the same person - sounds familiar? lol

  • Evening, today I started a spending diary. Been talking about doing it for a while and finally got round to it, and I have spent £29.15 today, not quite sure how i feel about it, I know it sounds daft but everything did need purchasing (except maybe the wispa and the chocs from the cadbury shop )

I'm at uni tommorow and plan on buying a weekly train ticket, did want to buy a 9 week tram pass but dont have the money so tommorow as I'm going to get there an hour early i'm going to walk to and from uni from the train station (lets hope the weather is good!)

Also bought myself some dilute pop today, going to fill an empty bottle up each day and take into uni with me rather than buying bottles of pop every day! Also going to take a packed lunch - hope I don't look a loser??

tommorow I have to pay £41 for a CRB check, going to write a cheque though so by the time it clears it will have been pay day! Also completed my hardship form, I just need to photo copy some of OH wages slips, bank statements etc!

Anyway i'm going to jump it the bath - Thanks for reading X

  • Hi, today has been a short uni day, got on the train and tried to purchase a weekly ticket to be told I need to collect a card from the main station so I had to buy the £8.20 return, got to the main station and tried to get this card that would then allow me purchase weekly tickets to be told I need a passport photo so had to go with out - not impressed, also why is it that debt busting methods can be expensive, I now have to buy passport photos to get a card that will allow me to travel cheaper, also I need to send some bank statments into uni with my hardship form, so OH went into the bank and asked for a copy of some and they wanted to charge him £5 for the privellage!

OH is currently counting up the copper jar, will let you know the total once he's done.

    Thanks for reading X

  • Hi Missy.

Aww that is soo cute- your kitten story- bringing his mummy a present. :) Mine love to leave spiders lying around like trophies. I'm glad they do though as I hate spiders. So its very much appreciated. At least he's thinking about you while he's out.:A
    :T

Well done on holding out on the heating. :money: How's phone use going?

Good job getting your dad's bday pressie under £20. And don't feel bad about the candles.. I LOVE candles (another slight fetish there!...) and have soo many lying around. You have to treat yourself plus they are very MSE. Use them for light and a slight bit of heat on those cold winter nights. Very romantic for you and OH and saves on gas and electricity too. ;)

Re; uni and taking a packed lunch. I dont think you'll look like a loser. I'd do it! :)

Anyway enough from me. Pop back soon.

  • Thanks for the reply thecatswhiskers was starting to think I was boring  lol

We have so many candles around the living room at the moment - trying to save gas and electric, esp at the mo as were in arrears  been over paying for a while now though so surely were reaching the end of the arrears

The heating is going good at the mo, this morning I woke up and it was freezing but powered through and within 5 mins was warm! OH did put the fire on the other day though while I wasnt in, apparently it was for 20 mins to warm the house through!

The phone not so good, the bills are just ridiculous though, me and OH both have iphones with a £45 tariff, however the combined bill is coming in at £200 give or a take a few pounds :eek::eek::eek: so desperately trying to sort that out, cant cancel contract as tied in for 24 months and only had them a couple of months - boooooooo

Anyways please do pop back now and again it gets lonely over here :D
