PC World has a Packard Bell for 379.99.Mozilla has denied you the link and I don't know how to configure the darn thing !!

It's a web exclusive deal, but I have ordered stuff from them mail order in the past and was well impressed with the service.

As allways, check the specs and buy accordingly. These things seeem to be getting cheaper by the hour.I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a sub 300 quid laptop before chrimbo.

Staples are doing one for 399.Dvd re-writer,big hard drive and serious RAM-age also. This is a VAT inclusive price which is not always the case, especially with some of those Evil-Bay "power sellers".

My daughter wants one for Christmas and I will probably be shopping around November so If any of you get one of these 400 quid jobbies, please let us know if they are any good.
  • What's the difference between Pentium M and Celeron M and Centrino Mobile processors?

I'm looking for a cheap and decent laptop too (15"-15.4 screen is a must) but not having much luck. Any recommendations for places to go?

Dell have random offers on all the time, and although they're not always the cheapest they always come 1st in customer satisfaction surveys.
