Acer are one of the bigger laptop manufacturers. I have an Acer laptop which I'm happy with. They also sell cheap extended warranties - much cheaper than shops provide. However I've head their customer service isn't always the best. Is it worth it? At that price yes - if it meets your needs.0 -

Thanks for your help - I have just gone to my local Tesco and got the laptop we discussed for £468 - daughter is delighted!
They only had about three left on the shelves - so are selling fast! :T :j"This site is addictive!"

Have a look at the link for Comet as I thought you reckoned it was the same one?
My friend's son has the one from Comet and is very happy with it, if that helps at all...0 -
hi, oh i didnt see the spec but the model number is the same!
i will look now0 -
It is £449.99 on the Comet website0

Ah but that is Comet's online price, believe me if you can buy this instore in a Tesco and take it home with you it would be well worth the extra few pounds than spending several days waiting on Comet to deliver

Point taken though this is a 'cheapest' thread. Patience is a virtue
