Love the posts, but am I the only one wondering about what's so special about getting a credit card with a 12K limit? It's not as if it makes you rich - it's not free money, just the opportunity to increase your debts at what are usually eye-watering rates. I would expect that lots of those with the highest credit card limits are actually the poorest, esp if the credit is used.
Or am I missing something here?
I totally agree with your point that there are some on here who do gloat about their wealth, or supposed wealth - just seemed an odd illustration, given this is the board of 'my house is bigger than your house' ya boo sucks kind of comments.
Plenty of better material at your fingertips.
PS I have a 16.5K credit card limit on one card. It quite categorically does NOT make me feel rich.
No, it doesn't, but, you are a teacher and will obviously have a nice slab of cash landing in your account every month so a CC with that kind of limit is not really too surprising, especially considering teacher jobs usually pay fairly well. But that was never in question as you're not posting on here every 10 mins like others.
Anyway, enough of this, I'm bored of talking about it now. Wish I'd never said anything

My take on it is that I balance a difficult position of both taking everything at face value and a healthy pinch of salt: we can neither prove nor disprove anything about anyone...:)0 -
Although I can't prove it, like Carol, I was a teacher.:A
I haven't told my CC Co that I'm now unemployed & relatively poor, but another bank, which issued me one of their cards recently, gave me a credit limit 9 times less than the existing one.
In other words, a card says nothing about you, or your current circumstances.0 -

I know this is a silly thing to do but bare with me a moment..... Back on topic for a short while, I heard on the news Greggs are opening around 600 more shops throughout the UK... Sorry as you wereI came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0

BTW I couldn't access any legit credit if I tried...maybe some dodgy, secured sub prime stuff.
It was a big decision to muller our C Score a few years bcak but, with hindsight, the right one.
I reckon we have only lived 30% of our married life indebted (that's 23 years and always business but shows up as personal) and about to be DF again except mortgage.
Over the years we have earnt a lot and not a lot, spent a lot and borrowed some but I think it evens out in the end.0 -
