Yes, you are right. (I wrote just "so true" at first but apparently comments have to be at least 10 characters long.)

    So true. ..

I love facts like this, brilliant stuff. You only live down the road from me Dopester. If I buy you a pint will you tell me lots of useful and interesting stuff like this?

In fact, Dopester, Mr.B and myself all live within a pretty close distance of one another. Now that would be an interesting evening out. If only Brodders were still here...

Just had a good, long read......haven't time to comment for now but have seen and heard loads of tales like this, not just franchises, but start-ups in general.

Usually, it's the turnover just not being sufficient to cover overheads....which sounds too simplistic....but it's the one thing you can never know for sure until you open the doors to trade.

To Conrad; OH reckons the setting up home sound systems etc sounds the best idea. I will post soon...as am up to my eyes in 'lifesaving' work at the mo.:o

It seems the best looking and most intelligent guys on mse all live in and around manchester. I can say this with conviction now my hero has left.

And all their female counterparts live in the south!

Actully, I think it sounds the best idea too. e.g. it occurs to me that despte DH being a musician, his sound system has always been ''adaquate'' not perfect. Its the kind of thing, once we are settled, I would like to get set up for him for a ''big'' birthday or Christmas, but tht I wouldn't have the technical confidence to buy unguided by a specialist.
