Anyway.....it's my 10 mins with wine before dinner...I actually came back onto this thread to chit chat about 'averse to risk' mindset and setting up a pasty business.

OMG Conrad 40k pa rent? That would need a T/O gross min of £400k pa that being £8000 pwk every week of the year.

Not how high Business rates are nowadays...a tax on rental values...nothing else. They are the straw that often, breaks the camels back STS.

No, it doesn't, but, you are a teacher and will obviously have a nice slab of cash landing in your account every month so a CC with that kind of limit is not really too surprising, especially considering teacher jobs usually pay fairly well. :) But that was never in question as you're not posting on here every 10 mins like others.

:DAnyway, enough of this, I'm bored of talking about it now. Wish I'd never said anything

    R :)

Why not? Sometimes it's good to get things off your chest. What seems to be so often isn't. Isn't that an old wives saying?

I like old wives sayings....esp now I am becoming one.:D Some of them are so true too.

What's the other one ''Never look back, only forwards'' that's a fave one too....but add on, ''Only a fool makes the same mistake twice''. Nothing wrong with trying something.

What's another? 'Failure, there is no such word, only trying' or something like that that...I can't recall...but you get the jist?

    A bakery goes into administration.

Yorkshire bakery chain Ainsleys has gone into administration - putting almost 300 jobs at risk. The Leeds-based family business, which was founded 71 years ago, blamed rising food prices, energy costs and "severe competition" on the high street.
The company has 29 stores across West and North Yorkshire.

    That competition must be Greggs

The thing is, every old wives' saying has an opposite.

e.g. "never look back, only forwards": fools rush in

A fool & his money are soon parted, but one must speculate to accumulate...

Kinda brings us back to that other thread about giving people 'bad advice' on the other channel.

OT : Is my pasty done yet?

I had a good business idea about half an hour ago. Virtually £0 investment, even I can do it .... googled it and can't immediately find anybody offering anything like it.

Target audience, as per Dopester's post is people who have too much money and need to find a new way to spend it.

Just need to see if I have the b4lls to go for it.

It's not hard, anybody can do it, it's just genius.

I just have no idea how to price it.

My best one is 'An Apple a day keeps the doctor away''. Apparently it's true as apples are a natural disinfectant and keep ones insides 'clean'.

I have been living it for a few years now and haven't been ill at all.

Mind you, went to doctors today for 1st time in 20 years (apart from the odd smear and giving birth) as I have a dodgy symptom.....did do a google (times like these is when google is def not your friend....did you know a fatal brain tumour has no symptoms?) and was convinced my time was up.......I was truly disintegrating from the inside out.

Lovely Doc I have down here and they played a Stranglers tape in the waiting room (how bizarre) and have a *ping* and an LED board when it's your turn to go in...and it didn't smell of anything.

I had a list of 3 deadly symptoms that I have been saving up. Skin, Neck and Other.

Had a painfree blood sample and go back next week for some 'looking around''...but he said he doesn't think anything is wrong.
