    Err No.
You can choose whther you want to pay anything to a private company in most cases.

    oh f!s!

if a private company is paying someone, that money has come from somewhere
    theyre called customers
customers are part of the general public

    therefore
    whether public or private
YOU. as a member of the general public, are paying for it

yes you have a choice as to who your initial spending goes to
but you dont decide who Tescos etc get in to do their shopfitting, but its your money that theyre spending

& who is it that is out in the shops spending money?
    public & private sector workers
  • right, seeing as I work in the public sector, I am off home. gotta make sure i am out of the building at 5.30pm as that is when my day ends. If I am leaving my desk at 5.30pm and don't get out the door until 5.33pm then I may have to put in a claim for those extra three minutes.

I know lots of public sector workers who regularly work into the small hours.

Just depends what you do- just like in the private sector, amazingly.

    You naughty troll.

If I do not like who Tesco use for their shopfitting I can take my business elsewhere. If I do not agree with who my council uses for their building work, i get sent to prison if I dont pay.

What no-one has mentioned here is the attitude people will have to the rich when they decide to drive their Bentleys past the hair-shirted masses.

how about all the taxpayers money that goes into subsidising private banks and firms? it's not just the public sector that relies on tax money.

You're right. It shouldn't have happened. Government has no right to save failing private companies - it is socialism to the nth degree.

However, having said that, it's interesting that Government's decision to invest in the banks has been a great investment. They will sell their stakes for much more than they bought them, providing a much needed boost to government coffers to pay for more public sector nonsense.

As for government grants to the car sector - a travesty. Should never have happened. Noone on the right thinks it's a good idea. It was politically motivated to save jobs that shouldn't be saved because they were jobs producing crap products that nobody wants.

As to your original question - who is looking forward to the next few years of Tory rule? I am.
