This forum is for advice.Unfortunately a lot of people post wind-up threads which generate a lot of silly debate-like this one.
The only people who haven't given any advice and behaved as wind-up merchants throughout this thread are yourself and Mr BFG.

Whilst I appreciate the effort you've expended to spell every word incorrectly, I'm sorry to say that it actually goes to prove a point of mine.....namely that it's bloody difficult to read/understand when people don't/won't/can't spell words correctly [inc wrong homophones used ie same sound, different words [there/their/they're]].

    Thanks for supporting my POV.

    Incorrect.

I have offered advice directly on this thread.

I am also conscious of the 'I'm dyslexic' card, and hence I typically offer advice to someone by PM. Some people say [paraphrasing] 'Thanks I wasn't aware of that, but I feel better educated now' and others basically say 'go forth and multiply, I don't care that everyone can see I can't spell'.

I just find it utterly bizarre that people seem incredibly proud to continue to parade their obvious ignorance [wrt spelling/grammar] after someone has advised them [with no malice] of a simple mistake/error on their part.

Is it like the ASBO retards where getting an electronic tag is somehow seen as something to be proud of?

Is it that there's reverse snobbery at play - 'I cant spell coz Im working class, not like you posh toffs, so ***f off you rich, snobby to**er!!'?

Is it a case of 'I don't want to better myself because then I would have nothing to be bitter and complain about!'?

    HTH

BTW - 'fatfinger' typos are not the same as 'spell/grammar' errors.

I know for example on this post:

    What word is "mnay"?

    As well as this one:

    What word is "coz"?

As a potential aspiring pedant......the 'N'ursery [sic] didn't cut the daughters [sic] hair, an employee/owner of the nursery did.

Perhaps the n'ursery is a relative of Edward Scissorhands?

Using multiple / and [ doesn't make for easy reading either

as mentioned above. Go straight to your LEA and/or to Ofstead. You've tried once with the Nursery and they've lied to you, so don't waste your time going to them again.

Make sure the sh*t really hits the fan, because ultimately they're not just responsible for your little one, they've obvously got several kids who could end up with short hair (to use a metaphor).

EDIT - just noticed there were several pages to this thread that I missed and didn't read before posting the above. I will go back and read. From what I have seen though, there are several members who really should get a life and stop bickering and posting insults!!

EDIT #2 - just read it all, and yes I was right, there are several members who should stop bickering and posting insults!! ROFL!

We haven't seen the PMs BFG sent. I'm not trawling back through every single post to see what he said and when, but I would imagine that he was indeed offering advice on spelling and grammar, thinking that the person might be glad of it. Is there actually anything wrong with that? Now, if the person's spelling or grammar can't be helped, I can understand them reacting very angrily. Perhaps things then escalated, ending with 5 messages in their inbox. (Maybe... we haven't seen any of the messages).
