  • Whe I tried to use some coupons in Tesco Bursledon yesterday, the cashier told me that she couldn't accept them due to change of policy - about 2 years ago!

I went to tesco this week and saved £45.85 on my shopping with all my coupons i have saved. :j
  • Yeah I know - I have been using self scan, not sure that makes any difference. Used coupons in four seperate transactions -luckily there was a shift change in-between but still only spent about 30 mins total in store. I was lucky today and I was lucky on Saturday - let's hope it continues until all my coupons have been used. Nothing beeped as I put them through (I even used 4 in one transaction) but when I totalled bill and paid the odd pence it did ask for supervisor but CSA just pressed a button on her console and hey presto. I feel self scan is the way to go.
Hope that helps you peeps out there.

Last time I tried coupons on self-scan the woman came over and took the whole top of the machine off to get the coupons out! Then she gave me a lecture about how they can only accept one coupon and I didn't know what to say  Glad some of you are successful though, it's still hit and miss as I'm still traumatised by that one self-scan experience :o any hints/tips appreciated :D
  • Say I have 50 of the £1 quick read coupons - could i use them all in one transaction at Waitrose (Canary Wharf) on £50.12p worth of shopping and pay 12p?? Would Waitrose allow this... or is it mis-abusing their policy?

I've had problems using vouchers at tesco's the last two times i have been, i know it all depends on the cashier. Just wondered if it is possible to purchase cd's and dvd's at self scan cos they are in the plastic security cases.

Yes it is. Just ask the assistant to remove it and they will!

I have had great success lately with some Radox coupons I found on ebay (worth 50p each) at Waitrose and Tescos. At Waitrose they run through the tills like cash, which has been nice as the SAs had been told be very careful with coupons after receiving too many from Olay.

Can anyone recommend any other coupons to purchase off of ebay that work well?
I got a shed load of these coupons on ebay, and have been using them in Tesco's, as my waitrose wont accept them. But waitrose will accept the Andrex internet coupons that wont scan in Tescos:cool:

  • The radox ones run out next week on the 30th. If you have to many and can't use them, sainsburys sell the actual product that they are for half price at 75p so you would pay about 25p for a £1.49 bottle of roll on anti perspirant or about 50p on Anti perspirant Aerosol!

    Hi all,

Have been using the free ones in the asda magazine. The uniball pen one is for 50p but scans at £4.50. Also using up the quick reads and those attached to cereals etc. Normally pay for 50%-75% of my shop with coupons. Spend about £10 a week on food! We eat like King and Queen! Always go to young lad, chat him up. They get embarassed and just scan away. Saving a fortune thanks to this site!

    Thanks martin!
