Morning all
I am newby at this but I am already hocked. Many thanks. I managed to get the superdrug vouchers, asda and some newspapers coupons. In tesco I used the newspapers vouchers, the loyalty extra points in a 20 pound shopping I had 500 points and also 5 pounds off, not bad.
A little palaba in Asda with the self scan but I managed to get 10 of a 27 pounds shopping.
Also went to Sommerfield in search of coupons. Do you know if the coupons from different stores can be used in others like Sommerfield or Asda in Tesco, as Tesco is closer to me.
Many thanks. Really pleased with this thread.0 -
Hi,
Does anyone know if you can put through the tesco extra points coupons, on a self-Scan till, if you haven't bought the product?
Thanks.

No, they'll only work if you've bought the product. You can sometimes use additional vouchers i.e. I bought a pack of organic apples for £2.49 and used a 50 points for a £2 spend on fresh fruit and a 50 points for a £2 spend on organic fruit.0 -
If I have a bonus point voucher but forget to buy the product I go to CS and they manually add the points because they say that sometimes the point vouchers do not work even if the item has been purchased.
Also took back some clothing and exchanged it and was given a receipt which was barcoded so I got the points twice !
Welshy xxI am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL

glad I found this thread, but just to say
I was a bit embarrased this week, as I handed £3 £1 vouchers in farmfoods on a 5.0dd shop ( they were gift vouchers given to me by a kind MSEr)
and in tescos on a £14 shop I gave them a 50p domestos, £4 pinecone LVs, 2x ecover 25p off and a 25p off pizza.
I agree if they take them whats the problem. I worked in tescos in 94 and we had the same debates then, but the outcome of it was, well arguing with the customer will lose bisiness and we are selling the items by the trolleyload anyway in the tesco network, so there really isnt a problem. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

YepWent into 2 tescos today that i use regularly. Even went to a cashier i recognised but he told me they now wont accept any vouchers due to abuse of their system (not by me!!). He wouldnt even accept 1, so after a debate about their policy with the manager i told them to stick the goods and walked out, leaving the supervisor there clearing off the till, item by item
Was very embarrassing but they were totally unreasonable.
Second store - almost the same. They have now imposed 2 vouchers in total but only 1 voucher if you havent bought an item. I tried to hand over 2 totally different vouchers and she said no, this is a new policy from head office. I dont believe her but i was already stressed by this time and just paid. I asked if i purchased 3 x lurpak (for instance) and had 3 vouchers for them if i could use them, and i was told NO! I really give up now, im swapping to Asda out of sheer annoyance.0
