Hi - sorry not to have replied sooner. Detective Jetty is well on the case! She is right, my children are older - 5 and 7. I have just sneaked them out of the boot of the car to measure them for you - I am running out of places to hide things now the children are of an age to be far too curious!!!

They are much nicer than I thought - they roll up and do up with velcro and have a little handle. There is a zip down the side that goes down about half way and they measure approx 50" (126cm) x 24" (62cm). So they are perfectly big enough for children - I'm not sure I would use them as a sleeping bag but perfect for snuggling in front of a video.

I found them at the end of an aisle in the homewares section - they seem to have quite a few fleece throws in at the moment and they were near these.

    I hope this helps.

Sorry, i just rotfl at the way you worded that, i sat here wondering why your kids were in the boot and why you were measuring them!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

You're quite right - I just re-read it and was about to beg you all not to contact Social Services! I tend not to keep my girls in the boot - if I did where would I hide their presents?!!

Ooooooooooo, you made me really excited! We have a card factory openng in our town, i keep wandering past it, but they are still filling the shelves!

Me too!!!! It was on sky and i watched it tonight since Id been talking about it!!!! :rotfl: Yipeekayae....
I popped in to Primark today and they have fleecy sleeping bags which I thought would be perfect for Christmas Eve Hampers. (I bought my girls dressing gowns last year and as they still fit them I need something different this year!).

They are called sleeping bags so I guess they could be used as sleeping bags for sleepovers etc. However, I thought they would also be great for snuggling up in in front of the telly.

I saw three designs - cupcakes, flowers and footballs. Best of all they only cost £2.94!

Wow, they sound fab..... Im never gonna get to Primark, Well, its a good an excuse as any to make the effort to go into town!! :rotfl:

I got a great thing from Matalan this morning :D They had Shaun the Sheep sets that you make (age was 8+) i think it's shaun, two other characters and a tracter, anyway, you get all the pieces, glue and paints, it's RRP said £24.99, they were selling it for £10, i got it for £2.50, so they are going in for xmas eve, keep them busy and quiet!!

They also had hot wheels sets which were £8, now £2 (think it was a skateboarding thing!)

  • not sure if this has already been mentioned, but in Superdrug they have gorgeous xmas soaps, shaped like snowman, reindeers, santa and xmas trees all 99p and 3 for 2, perfect for xmas eve hampers! I had already bought my 2 bubble bath for their hampers but saw these soaps and couldnt resist!

Have had a look online but they don't seem to have them on the Superdrug website to show a picture of them, so must be instore only.

Hope it's of use to someone xxxx

For me the Christmas eve hampers are:

Nice tradtion for me and my children to share and pass on thru the generations i hope.

A way to calm my extremely excitable children for the evening as i give them the hamper just after teatime then then can have a nice bath with their bath bombs and new ducks!, get their new pj's and christmas slipper socks on, snuggle up on the sofa with a Xmas dvd and nice warm hot chocolate and few munchies then a nice Xmas story in bed.

I am only giving them what i would anyway giving it to them as a hamper from our Christmas Elf as a leaving present just makes it a bit more special ...

I just do the hampers cos I think Christmas Eve is really lovely family time and like 3 cheeky princess says, it's a good way to calm them down on the most exciting night of the whole year :D

I put stuff like hot choc sachets, box of maltesers, popcorn and a nice Christmas film in. Then the kids have their bath and get snuggled to watch the film with their hot choc and munchies :) Actually, sounds very similar to 3_c_p's Christmas Eve doesn't it :rotfl:
I bet between 6.30-7.30 on Christmas Eve we're all doing exactly the same thing lol.
    xx
