So, to clarify, are you saying that a person in the UK watching the match on a stream (eg SOPcast) is doing something illegal?

I think it depends where the stream is coming from.

Justin tv isn't that legal, its always getting streams pulled due to breach of copyright. I've not used Sopcast so i'm not sure if its a service that you pay for.

Generally if your getting something for free that was originally on a pay only service it will be breaching copyright somewhere.

Leaving out the fact the "official" version is a stream...

    In all likelyhood yes.

It's a grey area, who's in the wrong, the person uploading it certainly is, the person who knowingly watches the stream, probably, it would hinge on if they knew it was illegally uploaded, and I think most people would be aware that it is in this case.

As has been said there are legal streams, the "real" match stream, the BBC iPlayer, 4OD, Five on Demand and the ITV Player, and you would have a reasonable assurance that these are legit sources. They also restrict who can watch it to the terretories they have rights for (ie you can't want the iPlayer for many shows if your in the USA). Sopcast is just a way to share video, like a live YouTube, and so pretty unlikely to have the rights to broadcast anything other than someones home made footage.

Like any p2p app (bittorent etc) there are legal uses, but often that not the use they are put to. If I recorded my own CD (assuming I wrote all the songs, and played all the instrument and fully own it) I could legally use bittorrent to upload it to the world. However using the same app to upload the latest pop albums is another matter entirely. It's not the tool thats the issue it's down to if someone has the right to distribute what they upload thats the issue.

Bet365 minimum deposit is £5 not £10 (unless you have to top £10 when you first join and i'm not reading through to find out)

Secondly, you can withdraw straight after the match, but will lose any bonus.

It does mean registering with a bookmaker BUT you do NOT have to place a bet and this is the only legal way to watch this World Cup qualifier live.

    Not strictly true

(and referring to another comment on another post about the bet365 offer NOT being available in FULL SCREEN mode but resticted to a "small window")

You can see this in a VERY "FULL SCREEN" at selected ODEON cinemas :)

    Basingstoke
    Bath
    Birmingham
    Blackpool
    Derby
    Hatfield
    Lincoln
    London - Leicester Square
    Manchester
    Norwich
    Sheffield
    Southampton
    Wimbledon

    At mine they're charging
    £8 for adults
    £5.50 under 15s
    £20 for family ticket (either 1 adult + 2 kids OR 2A + 2K)
