There is no god given right to demand or expect it to be live on TV.
Its not that many years ago that no internationals were on TV other than major tournaments. Those days it was radio or nothing.

I strongly suspect the the internet we have won't be able to cope with the live streaming, you need a really fast connection and what we have isn't up to the job, we have congestion on some isp's and exchanges so if everyone logs on to watch something will crash somewhere

It's a pity its not on ITV then we wouldn't have to watch x-factor at all!!

For free streaming sites go to !!!!!!!!!!. They usually have the major games on but the quality isn't guaranteed.

Yes, Setanta had the rights to it, and they are gone, but the Ukrainian company who are providing the pictures of the game then offered it to other major broadcasters, but wanted silly money (according to TalkSport the asking price was in excess of £2.5m). Sky, BBC and ITV refused to pay, and the Ukranian company refused to negotiate.

...therefore this is why the game is on the net, and they will net £5m. I'll listen to it on the radio if I can be ar*ed.

Does anybody know what resolution this is being streamed at? I don't mind opening the account if it's going to be watchable on a big screen. Otherwise will stick with text and commentary on BBC.

I don't know about actual resolutions but the demo I watched on the site after I had signed up looked very watchable.

We'll see what happens, you have to remember that the demo was when very few were watching, multiply that and it could slow to a crawl, our broadband isn't able to cope with large volumes of people watching live streaming at the same time as was proved during the olympics
