if that is the case, deposit £10 in your account and withdraw it after the games over

    Exactly! :)

I've used online streams with other betting firms in the past and had no problem at all with them for picture quality, lag, buffering and all that.

I'd rather the game was on TV but I've signed up with bet365 today and I may try hooking the PC up to the TV this weekend.

It is an away match, and as such nobody in this country has a right to dictate who is allowed to show the match.

I'm sorry thats incorrect. This match was bought by Setanta. They went bust and no one has re-bought the rights. Hence this internet shenanigans.

I'm sorry too Geoggy, dmg24 was initailly right.
As it is an away match, nobody in this country has a right to dictate who is allowed to show it. Kentaro, the Ukranian company that has the rights, sold them to Setanta. Since Setanta went bust, Perform were appointed to stream it (at a cost).
So no-one does have a "right" to dictate who is allowed to show it. It's up to the Ukranian company.

Anyway, I'm not sure what the fuss is all about. It's cheaper than getting Setanta or paying thru Sky for the game on Setanta. There are more people with internet access than Sky or cable!!

Careful of this - a number of bookies force you to bet through your deposits before allowing you to withdraw meaning you could lose your £10.

(Take a look over at the Gambling Introductory loophole board if you want to sign up and watch the match without risking your tenner!)

Pretty sure that England isn't a region but a country in its own right unless I've missed this news recently, therefore England being my country I would consider the England football team to be by national team, if I was supporting my regional team i'd have to support East Anglia and there definately isn't an East Anglian national team!!!!

BUT there is only one team in east anglia....Norwich ;)

Is this really the only way to watch our national team?
    What have we come to?
If we had someone in charge of the country you'd think they might have something to say about this, do our kids really need to see that we have to open a bookmakers account who controls the football viewing, what sort of example is this. I've not heard one of the politicians from any party condem it. How do any of them expect to get elected?

I hope you're not suggesting that the taxpayer should pay for the Ukranians to give the rights to show a football match!
