Although saying that I have just remebered the trousers I have on are also from Next size 24, but I got them from a bootsale for 50p! They fit very good as well.
don't forget that you can order anything from the catalogue to pick up in store - no p&P! My daughter did this last autumn. and another plus (no pun intended, lol) is that you can try on in store nd if something isn't suitable the store just send it back for you and re-order if that's what you want. so no messing about with parcels and POs etc.
She did all her ordering in store too and it all worked very well for her.Lovely clothes.Stop looking for answers....

Not on your first order though, but from there on in.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

This doesn't work for first order online as they insist on delivering first to home address if paying with credit card. No idea why, part of their general arrogance I suspect. Can you order instore and deliver to instore without p & P then?
Well you certainly could last year! We went in with the catalogue. Did the ordering at the checkout desk, paid up and clothes arrived a few days later - at the store. We were given a delivery date I think, or maybe we had to phone, can't remember that bit. But definitely ordered instore and no p&p.Stop looking for answers....

Uh. That's a fairly standard anti-fraud procedure. Otherwise if someone stole your card they could get all sorts of stuff bought and delivered to some random address for them to collect. Annoying... yes. Arrogance? No (and what an odd thing to say anyway!)0 -

Maybe you know this already, but on eBay sellers can no longer leave negative or neutral feedback, only positive.
It makes eBay a much more buyer friendly place..0 -

On the other hand it makes it very difficult if you're a seller (even just a casual one selling off old items you don't wear, etc)...
Sellers can no longer leave any form of bad feedback for buyers who, for example:
- don't pay for 2 weeks;
- don't pay at all;
- are completely unreasonable and demand *delivery* 12 hours after the auction completes;
- demand a refund because an item doesn't fit, despite them buying the wrong size;
- just decide they don't want it for no reason whatsoever;
- receive the item, then claim they didn't - paypal/ebay then refund them anyway, leaving the seller without the item, and without the money.
Ebay is now absolutely full of buyers acting like t*ssers, and thanks to no seller feedback (among other things), they can carry on doing it. :mad:
(and the thing is, 95% of my transactions are as a buyer, only 5% selling, and I still think it's completely unreasonable).0 -
I totally agree lightisfading ebay is a nightmare for sellers even casual ones.
You're even afraid to get your listing & buying costs refunded from non paying buyers. I had 3 that were non payers who after 2 weeks paid then asked for their money back from Paypal immediately due to non delivery (less than 12hrs after paying) then left me negative feedback. I then had a warning from ebay - as I sell so little these negatives were a high percentage of my sales. Put me off trying to sell anything on ebay.
Getting back on topic Size up still have some wonderful quality Izod & Ashworth Polo shirts for larger men at a bargain £3-5. The Izod especially are long, long, long if your other half has a long torso like mine does. They were SO good that he now has 15 of them. It's nice to see him in clothes that actually have a decent length on them. At 6ft 3in with an inside leg of 29" it's hard getting tops for him that don't look like I've shrunk them in the wash.
They don't shrink & are really good quality.0 -
Agree with you about Yours maxi dresses...I don't usually buy from them but I saw one of their maxi dresses in a magazine and really liked the print, so ended up buying it:
I also bought this one:
Due to losing weight I am now the lower end of "plus size" when it comes to clothing, but being nearly 6ft tall finding dresses of a decent length can be a bit of a pain without spending a fortune. These two dresses are absolutely fab, the cut is really good. I have only worn the first one out so far but got so many positive comments about itThe second one comes in cream which I am thinking about getting too.
I have noticed that quite a few of the Yours maxi dresses are appearing on eBay via various sellers usually for about £10 less than the Yours price. I've got my eye on a couple of these at the moment - might try the same one on in the Yours in Cambridge and then snap it up on eBay
Edited to add: there are so many different colours in the two dresses I have that it is so easy to find a matching shrug or cardi/bag/jewellery to go with them, and you can obviously dress up or down depending on the accessories you have.DFW no.554 - Proud to be dealing with my debts :TDAVID TENNANT CAN PROBE ME WITH HIS SONIC SCREWDRIVER ANYTIME...:AFLYING THE FLAG FOR THE CAMBRIDGE BOOTS TARTS :happyhear0 -

I guess I was just unlucky with my purchases regarding the import duty - there was only two items (a top and skirt suit set) so it's not as if customs were alerted by an enormous package of goodies0
