Yeah. I honestly don't get why they do that either.
HA! Well times have changed since then..thankfully. It's bad enough that most designers don't make sizes over 10-12 and the ones that do make plus size..I find some clothes to just be too frumpy and doesn't flatter certain gals...I mean I myself am more into bustiers, bootcut jeans and trousers, funky and cool tops and I see WAY MORE of that style in small sizes. :(
YOU WOULD BE PROUD OF ME.. THIS IS THE EMAIL I SENT AND RESPONSE I GOT FROM PEACOCKS THE OTHER DAY( I AM FED UP OF IT TOO).. Hi, I had to write to say how disapointed I am with your
clothing selection in regards to larger sizes. We all know the average
UK woman is a size 16. You stock all items from 4 sizes below the
average, but do not continue this trend to 4 sizes above the average.
Looking through your listings there is only ONE dress that goes to a
size 24..and this is a roll neck?! The tops you have (4 styles) are all
totally unflattering to a larger woman..horizontal stripes, boat necks
and cap sleeves are certainally eye catchers, but for all the wrong
reasons. Please pass this on to the powers that be. ...

    ...Thank you for your e-mail.

As a company, we always welcome feedback from our customers, and as a
matter of course, I have forwarded your e-mail to my colleagues in both
our on line and buying departments, for them to be aware of, and for
    their future consideration.

Thank you for taking the time to contact me, and if I may be of any
further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me again.

I have been buying La Senza pjs for my DDs for Christmas but felt really bad that one DD would be left out as they do not go up to her size.

After going through various sites I finally found a nice set of two pairs of pjs at Marshall Ward for £25, which I ordered yesterday.

They arrived today and are even nicer than they looked in the catalogue, black and pink with little polka dots etc. Not frumpy or boring and nearly as nice as La senza:j.

Pjs are made by Sorbet and look good quality.

    Preemie hats - 2.
  • Anybody know where I can get a plain white shirt/blouse that adequately covers my boobs but doesnt look too big elsewhere, e.g. shoulders or neck, and one that can be worn with a bow and straight (clip-on) tie please? I need it for uniform reasons and most I've tried gape across the bust or just underneath so look unslightly. My boobs/bra size are 38J and some of my upper clothes are size 18/20/22 depending on the garment.

If you have a blouse which gapes but otherwise fits, just sew up the buttons area around your boobs and put it on and off over your head. This solves the problem.

I had included the So Fabolous range on the list at the top, but I have now added reference to Great Universal and Littlewoods as they all sell it (probably part of the same group).

I mus say that selling the same stuff under different names is something lots of companies do, but it makes things so confusing (JD Williams is the worst, they have so many websites selling the same stuff!)

    Hi

Bit of a change of subject, but does anyone know any similar retailers for men? I'm struggling a bit finding any other than Jacamo....

    Cheers

Have you checked the directory in the first post of this thread? There are other links for men there.

Thanks for this so much. Just brought six pairs of trousers/jeans. All reduced (and i would have paid full price!!)

I never knew great universal did the tallm leg lenght - i thought i was destined to live in the couple of styles the JDWilliams group sell.
I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler
