Hi all, i have been busy busy busy so not been on for a while, so i hope you are all in good health and spirits(not the 40% ones!). I have had a bad experience with 'yours clothing' the other day, seeing that sequins are big for xmas i thought i would get a sequined jacket therefor enabling me to add a little glam when i wanted to. I purchased one from yours for £50... It was such poor quality when it arrived and i wanted to wear it the same evening! The sequins were cut short, so were not round and scratched, there were threads hanging off in many areas and there was no shape to it at all. I looked up how to return it.. You must pay for this and will not get the postage paid to receive the item...unless its faulty.. Mine is..but still have to make a scene in the post office as proff of postage and costs must be sent inside with the item?! I won't use them again and just wanted to warn you of the postage costs. On a lighter note i have been sent the new fashion world catalogue and there are a few new pieces that are really nice.

Ebayed is it the same site as Minx refers to in her post?

Great thread! We need something for us yummy "bummies" here!

I just wanted to point out something. I ordered a couple of jeans from Very, and the variation in sizing from the blue to the black colour is unbelievable! I'm a 20/22 bottom, same up top. I got the 20 in the blue, and the 20 in the black.
Well!!! the blue fitted perfect (mind you, I had to lay on the bed to do it up the first time! lol). the black wouldn't even go up my thighs!! I then exchanged the black 20 for a 22.....Only to have it being too bleeding small too! :O(

How can they do that?? I find it unbelievable that sizes can differ so much!

Heh..I went thru something just like that recently but not with Jeans..with MC clothes. Some MC clothes sizing run so smalllllllll! For example...this one brand...an xxl fits a a 30 in waist!!!! Can you believe it? I have to order a damn 6x for myself..makes me sound so obese :(
:D *If you like the advice I give...let me know by clicking the THANKS button* :D

30in waist is an XXL??? they must be living in the 19th century hun! when a woman was considered "beautiful" if you could circle her waist in your hands....Man, I'd need 20 hands! lol

Yeah. I honestly don't get why they do that either.
HA! Well times have changed since then..thankfully. It's bad enough that most designers don't make sizes over 10-12 and the ones that do make plus size..I find some clothes to just be too frumpy and doesn't flatter certain gals...I mean I myself am more into bustiers, bootcut jeans and trousers, funky and cool tops and I see WAY MORE of that style in small sizes. :(

  • Hi

Bit of a change of subject, but does anyone know any similar retailers for men? I'm struggling a bit finding any other than Jacamo....

    Cheers

hi max, i can tell you why this is.. Jeans are fisrt made and then washed. By washed i mean they are put in a huge drum with whatever dye, chemicals or enzymes are to be used. Black dye shrinks the denim more than any other wash, so when making jeans this is sometimes overlooked by the manufacturer. Ta daaa x;)

hi terraferma, yes it is. I do not know what other items are like, they might be fine, and the sale is cheap, but again the postage situation puts me off. I will also add that great universal has a fab sale on, and if you open an account with them you can get extra money off by using code zz339 i think its £10 off £40.. Not bad.:t
