  • Have been lucky enough to get a Next VIP slot this evening, and they have 17 pages of plus/additional sizes 24,26,28, loads have been reduced by 70%, i think i paid about £5.00 for each item i ordered a few tops and a pair of trousers, hope this is helpful, i have found recently that NEXT plus is far better quality than over priced Evans.

If you can't get a NEXT vip slot then the sale starts on boxing day.

Next plus sizes.. This may be seen as good news or if like me.. Hard work. I would buy a size 24 top at most shops, online or highstreet. I have ordered 3 tops from next in a size 24 and they are big. I think they have been looking at the us and have sized the plus items on a different base model(womens)..which is great! Unless you need a 22 from this range. (i hope you are keeping up with me.) the size 22 is much smaller based on the 'normal' base model(woman with no hips or bust) the regular sizes are. So for those of you a size 24/26 will find next tops fit fantastically! Those like me are in a limbo regards this...merry christmas everyone xxxxx

I've found this as well! I bought a size 20 top from Next in Leicester Highcross and its a very generous fit - I was plesantly surprised!
Also Evans sale is good at the mo - I find it a nightmare buying bras (Im a 46C) I ordered loads before my catalogues went onto my DMP but am getting to the stage of needing some new ones, and I got 2 lovely white cotton ones in Evans sale for £10 - normal price £20! :D

For outdoor wear I find Regatta very good. In shops they go up to about a size 22/24. Online though they only go to size 20 (no idea why).

I find their men's outdoor trousers more comfy than any of the women's outdoor trousers and in-store they commonly have offers on them, ie normally £12.50 each but 2 pairs for £20.

I also have one of their 3-in-1 jackets, you can buy either a separate fleece and shell, or a combined unit, and they are very good and hardwearing.

Re the JD Williams/Jacamo/Discountworld etc chain, I found out a little while ago by accident that if you change sites the basket goes with you, so only 1 postage cost, but you HAVE to click on the link from the bottom of the site, you can't just type in the address of the particular store you want to go to. Means going through several sites sometimes (I just went through 4 from Simply Be to get to Discountworld) but it's worth it to save the postage! You get invoiced on the normal catalogue you get from, ie for me it will be JD Williams.

Thanks for that :) I tried this way back and it didn't work then, but it does now, that's excellent!

Just spotted one pair of men's shoes in a size 15 - it doesn't come up on the sale search page, but it's the Hush Puppies Randall shoes in brown - £29 on Very, £34 on Empire (black is still full price at £59/£69) - great price for a hard to find size.
