Yours Clothing have yet another sale on, but I have bought a skirt for £3.20 (70%off) and a half price top at £8. Might be worth a look for someone.

Taking shape have got 60% off across most items on the website and instore.
I know a lot of people like their stuff.
I have ordered some new activewear tops which I need and some jewellery which I don't. All of the £22 necklaces are now £5.

I finally cracked and ordered something from Caroline to wear at Xmas. It came today (took less than a week) and I'm really very pleased with it. She also emailed me and seems very pleasant. I'd definitely order from her again.

Sorry for the late reply but pleased you took the plunge and yes she does seem a very nice lady.

One thing that puzzles me is why is plus size clothing so expensive and so often such awful quality? I've bought a LOT of stuff lately (I'm going on a 5 day holiday in July and everything- and I mean everything- is new, i have a load of new stuff in the wardrobes as well) and I've had to work really hard to assemble all that at a half decent price.
For example I bought some leggings today from Yours. They're supposed to be a 22 (I usually wear Primark size 20 which are a bit big on me) and not only are they paper thin but they're a very small 22! Having a look in Yours today they have some quite nice stuff but some of the prices they're charging for the quality of the stuff is naff. Not everything is but a lot of stuff is.
They had some gorgeous Hell Bunny dresses in though which were reduced- they seemed ok but I couldn't justify as I have nowhere to wear them! Out of the other plus size stores- Simply Be has lovely stuff at silly prices, I like their slogan tees for £8 but that's about the only thing in that shop I can afford :D but to be fair at least it's decent quality and washes nicely. H&M's sizes are utterly idiotic. I am mostly a 20-22 in jeans, in there I have to get a size 26 to even get them anywhere near me!!! And can someone please tell me what the fuss is about Taking Shape as I really don't get it?! I have never once seen anything I even remotely liked in there. I know everyone disses Evans but I got some good jeans in there, about the only place I could find any.
To anyone who doesn't know, River Island now do plus size on their website up to a 26, the stuff isn't cheap but it's fab. Got my eye on a few things! Also, anyone on the smaller end of the scale- I got two fab pairs of size 22 linen trousers, 1 pink 1 white in my local Peacoc.ks for a fiver each. I think they were made for a giant however as I had to chop the bottoms off to make them fit :D

I have a few things from Taking Shape and really like them. I'll be very disappointed if they pull out of the U.K. However, looking at their website, it does have all the appearance of a final clearance sale, without saying as much.
Thanks for the heads up, just bagged a few bargains there.

The problem I find with Taking Shape clothes is that they don't seem to like natural fibres. I go into the shop and feel the clothes and shudder - make me feel itchy!
On that note, does anyone have any recommendations as to where I could buy some lightweight cotton tops? Cotton voile would be wonderful. Short/cap sleeves and size 24/26. I prefer tops of a decent length, being tall.
    Thanks in advance!

I just had a look on their Facebook page and it's true, Taking Shape are closing their UK stores and actually, most of them have already closed! They say they will maintain an online presence for UK customers, I certainly hope they can.
Terribly sad for their staff, I hate to see anyone put out of work.

50% off designer plus size clothing from Emma Plus. There is some "statement" costume jewellery as well. They have a shop in Brighton and just stared selling online through shoptiques.

The clothing costs more than high street so is not for everyone, but the cut of the clothing and materials used can't be compared to Yours, Evans etc.

I can recommend the waterfall handkerchief jacket, I bought one and there's a good weight to the material so it hangs lovely.

    Free returns as well.
