While I love Torrid to bits, I can't get round their insistence on a stat $50 charge for postage to the UK, especially when the last time I went on there, the items I ordered were so light, the $50 would have been way and above how much it cost to post them to the UK. (I didn't bother ordering them in the end ~ the postage was nearly twice what the items cost) I order t shirts from a geeky US website for my middle son, the postage is around $7; they are a realtively small site compared to Torrid ~ if they can do it, why not Torrid?
Why don't you use a shipping service like My Mail Box? They charge a flat rate to send up to a certain weight with no membership fees.0 -
I have 2 questions. I am a size 24 and can't find thick black tights. It would have to be online as I am miles from any shops don't even have an Evans within 3 hours bus trip. I looked at clothes from the plus range at Macy's in USA but am I a 2X or 3X. Can anyone help?
I think people on this forum have used this site
http://pamelamann.co.uk/
They are based in the UK.
I am size 26 and I get my thick tights from M&S online in size XXL but they are often out of stock I just keep checking the website and order a few pairs.
Asda also do 150 denier in plus size for £3 , I can sometimes get them instore and they are in the plus section on the website.

Hi, I'm around the same size and have 2 sources for my tights. M&S are very good for brightly coloured tights. For black tights I always buy Pretty Polly Curve. They are expensive at around £10 for a 60 denier pair but last years. I often buy them online at Boots as they are often on 3 for 2. I've never seen them in the shops though.0

Just to help a few people:
Dotty P's have upto 50% off with an extra 20% off at the checkout stage. Their search doesn't seem to include size 28, but there are items there that are size 28, so search 26, and check the item pages as i've found some 28 items that way.

House of Fraser is on their last 4 days of sale I believe. They offer a mix of brands,

Of course there are a few others, yours, simply be etc that still have sales on as well.0 -

Has anyone bought from ChiChi Curve? Not enough sleeves for me on a lot of the items but some might do, and they do look lovely. Sizing looks generous on paper but would like to know what it is like in real life.0 -
I haven't bought from chi chi direct as it's not my size. However I found it originally in Simply Be sites, and then went to see if it were avaailable as their own site, to see if they have bigger sizes, which they don't.
Chi chi does offer returns, within 14 days, dunno if postage is refunded, and you can pay by paypal so you have that cover there as well.
However take a look at simply be's site with the chi chi range, as it might be on there, and might be more trustworthy.0 -

On holiday in Australia currently, and finding myself in need of some smart clothes for an unexpectedly posh resort, I hurled myself through the doors of the Taking Shape store in Launceston (Tasmania) this afternoon.
The assistant (Mel) was super helpful, and they had a 'buy one full price item, get another item half price' promotion on, which was conveniently ending today! Mel helped me to put together 4 lovely mix & match outfits which will see me through this trip and beyond.
I notice that, in Australia at least, they seem to now be calling themselves TS/Virtu
The clothes are great, but the personal and friendly service was even better. I'm very impressed.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
I bought a plus size linen tunic top from Ebay with ZRK by Keroszyn on the label. I really love it and would like to get another one in a different colour.
Has anyone seen this brand anywhere.
On Ebay it was described as Lagenlook, made in Italy and is a size XXL. I have done an Ebay and Google search but there is nothing in linen. I have searched Made in Italy and Lagenlook but so many come up.
Thanks in advance
