  • Uniqlo women's clothes in size XL according to their chart only fit a size 16. What plus size would you say they actually fit a 26/28, or were you talking about men's?
Do you have a link to the item you would recommend for plus size, I think it would be useful because thermal clothes in plus sizes is so hard to find!

Sorry got them from Uniqlo about 3 years ago and can't see similar now - mine were labelled XL I am size 22 bottom and they are nice and roomy, but nothing similar this year.

I have seen some thermal tops and leggings in Bon Marche that go to 24/26 and will be trying them out - tries to do link http://www.bonmarche.co.uk/thermals/thermal-leggings/invt/15484544/

Oh sorry, I should have said they were men's ones. But, at the time I bought them, I was a size 28/30 and I'm only 5 foot tall, so dont think you'll have to take them up. The bottoms had a cuff, so weren't trailing behind me when I walk!

I searched for ages to find thermals in that size and at a good price, so was happy when I took a chance on these and they fitted.
Sorry if my last post was misleading.

    Eta-here's the top. http://www.fieldandtrek.com/campri-thermal-top-mens-402067?colcode=40206703

    And the bottoms. http://www.fieldandtrek.com/campri-thermal-pants-mens-402068

Even cheaper than I paid. I bought the 4XL, btw.

Hi Ruth_honey - I will pop into Sports Direct next time I'm in town to see if I can find any of these tops. Daren't really try the bottoms as I suffer from eczema and if my legs get too hot I start to scratch which is not good. :(

If we all stock up with loads of thermals - we might end up having a mild winter and not need them - well we can all hope ;)

  • If anyone wants to get cheap ski jacket (great for Xmas markets etc) Mountain warehouse has 20% off THIS WEEKEND for all ski wear only - code is on home page. They have ladies ski jackets up to size 22. I previously had one from there very similar to http://www.mountainwarehouse.com/ski/jackets/womens-ski-jackets/sugar-womens-ski-jacket-p7435.aspx it was so warm and windproof, and waterproof too, though no taped seams.

The other jacket I've been looking at it http://www.campingworld.co.uk/Models.aspx?ModelID=5849 which goes up to a 30 apparently, altho one reviewer said she had to go up from usual 22 to 30. Hard to know without trying them on.

I's 6'4" tall and in need for longer length clothing of all kinds. I've found M&S and Jacamo to be quite good for some clothing. However, plain t-shirts in longer lengths seem hard to come by. I look for an actual length of approximately 78 cm for size M t-shirts.

    Any recommendations?

    Hi
I think you'd get a better response opening a new thread specifically about this, as this thread is about plus size clothing and most tall men would not even look at it, you are targeting the wrong audience.

I re-activated an old thread that I had started a long time ago.

I have found occasional reference to 'longer length' in this thread and decided to give it a try.
  • A heads up, after visiting the other tesco store where I live that last time I went had an OK range of true (their plus range) I searched the clothing section as they had moved around, I couldn't find the true stuff so I asked a staff member who told me we have stopped doing it across all store, not great news. at the moment the range online is OK & they offer free collect from store, I need to check out the other 2 stores near me to see if it has disappeared there as well.

The same thing happened to me today. Nothing above size 22 in my local store. They told me thay are continuing the range online but have stopped stocking in all stores BOOOOO!!!!

I'm looking at diff online stores for some going out tops for Xmas and everything I've seen just as boring as the usual Evans stock (an that is mega boring. Even ebay is ridiculous alot of sellers are listing clothes with prices almost as high as the RRP.Seems like we cury ladies are slowly being pushed out os mainstream stores and Tesco are just following the trend.

Agree, the want our money, but they don't want us in their shops!
I also hate how plus sizes are often relegated to separate collections, with higher prices, in case seeing plus size items would hurt the sensitivities of skinny customers... (not that many actually use plus size models, most wear mainstream sizes up to 16 that even topshop stock).

Phillip Green of Arcadia loves our money (Evans), as long as we keep away from their mainstream shops... (particularly for the younger market, Topshop etc). Some are even excluded from one of their plus size site style369 (same stuff as Evans, but sizes up to 26, so you can see the same clothes, but with sizes over 26 hidden from the choice menu, weird!).

Ebay is becoming more and more expensive, one of the reasons is that fees are very high, they charge 12% for clothes, + listing fees, + paypal fees, and also postage prices have gone up. Unless something fits a large letter format, it will cost a minimum of £2.70.
For a £10 total cost that's already roughly £4.30 gone.

    RANT OVER :D

Have you tried Landsend they have a tall range & their Tshirts are brill quality, maybe a bit more expensive so worth having a look for any codes, also have a look in the different sections eg outlet, offers & the men's section as they have different stuff listed in each section & do have some good offers eg this canvas jacket for £12.50
    Booo!!!
