Large Plus Size Clothing

There are a couple of clothing chains in Australia, My Size (www.mysize.com.au) and Taking Shape (their plus range www.ts14plus.com.au/ ) which are quite good. I've had some good quality corporate clothes from TS over the years. My Size ship worldwide - I can't remember if TS do it.
I love my size! they do some lovely stuff.
I've never bought from them because delivery is expensive (Au$25 = £16), and Paypal will charge quite a lot of money for the exchange (around 4% I believe) on top of the prices.
However their seasons are the opposite ours (it would be perfect to buy on sale, end of season for them, start of our season...)

The only leggings and thermal top I found at that price go up to size 18, they seem to have a lot of stuff, but I could not see anything plus size up to 26/28 (which is my size as well as lifeform's so I'm really interested!), do you have a link to the plus size section?
£7.99 would be a very good price
.
Oh sorry, I should have said they were men's ones. But, at the time I bought them, I was a size 28/30 and I'm only 5 foot tall, so dont think you'll have to take them up. The bottoms had a cuff, so weren't trailing behind me when I walk!
I searched for ages to find thermals in that size and at a good price, so was happy when I took a chance on these and they fitted.
Sorry if my last post was misleading.

And the bottoms. http://www.fieldandtrek.com/campri-thermal-pants-mens-402068
Even cheaper than I paid. I bought the 4XL, btw.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Thanks for all the suggestions! I've gone and bought some more thermal tops/legs, will couple those with some tight weave jeans. Having found ski typed trousers, can't justify the £70 cost of them for a few days away!
Will work on tops, but I do have a couple of jumpers which do have wool in them, and will use my thick wool coat on top. that should do, if not I will avail myself to all the hot temptations

Oooh! I just bought those, the mens campri ones. However it was from Sports Direct which is same price as there. I have a sports direct about 5 shops away from me, but I can never find anything. It's just like someone sneezed clothes in store, so always resort to website
Also Dare 2b seems to do loads of (mens) xxxl, xxxxl+ stuff in their range, but I think compared to campri they are dearer. My original thermal bottoms were Dare 2b and I still have them, so will be interesting to compare to the campri.0 -

great tip, excellent value for money, and I would have never thought of buying them without your feedback, because I thought they'd be too long!
I've never liked buying mens' clothes because the don't fit (we have lumps and bumps in different places
), but I actually remember years ago buying some nice shirts form M&S.
And a will always remember a MSE poster from the oldstyle board being on telly showing off her men's pants on the washing line lol

I think Sports Direct & Field and Trek must be sister companies.terra_ferma wrote: »great tip, excellent value for money, and I would have never thought of buying them without your feedback, because I thought they'd be too long!

They don't look particularly flattering on, but let's face it, they're to be worn UNDER other clothes for warmth, so I don't care that much. There are some very pretty, colourful thermals around, but they seem to stop at size 20, so if staying warm means wearing plain black men's thermals, that's what I'll do. You're correct! I walked past my shop, which happens to have a massive overhang size with Field and Trek on the side, haven't made the connection beforeRuth_honey wrote: »I think Sports Direct & Field and Trek must be sister companies.
That's my reasoning too, I can't find any female ones in my size, and not wonder about quality as well as price. There are lovely pink and purple ones in likes of mountain warehouse, but always upto 18. It seems to be that plus size men is far easier to buy than plus size women, on any range of clothing. Loads of sport stuff go to 4xl (and more!) yet women stop at 18-20. Only recently discovered sports direct at their large range on lovely and warm jogging bottoms, or hooded tops, or even nice quality t-shirts. But it's all mens stuff.Ruth_honey wrote: »

I have a few asda tops, the female range.comes up slightly small, I shouldn't have to. Ut mens and i don't want to, will keep looking, I want to find a top that is long enough too, supermarket tops always come up short, perhaps that is why they are cheaper, I find supermarket plus size sizing very ill fitting.Lose 28lb 3/28lb

There's a sale on at evans.co.uk, 24% off until tomorrow lunchtime.
However before you all get too excited, prices are ridiculously inflated, I could not find anything good value there. Lots of cheap looking stuff, all acrylic jumpers and cardigans, very thin looking tops.
You wont' be able to use other codes, and they now charge £2 to deliver in store.
I decided to give them a go and bought lots of knickers at very low price, with codes etc, size 30/32 because they are very small.
Well, most of them have been worn once and went straight in the bin, so small that they started to fall apart, and quality incredibly bad, thin cotton and poor stitching. Never had a problem with sizing before, 26/28 was always fine.
To this I add the fact that their sister website 369style (sometimes stocking items that are out of stock on evans.co.uk and viceversa) stops at size 26, I'm really annoyed.
I don't understand why they set up a plus size store with lower sizes only, aimed at the younger market (according to them), it gives a very poor message.
rant over
