Re: La Redoute and Daxon are they part of the same group ? I have ordered stuff from both (not clothes) without probs but Daxon verry slow to arrive as it all comes from France to warehouse in Yorkshire.
According to Wiki:
PPR is made up of four operational branches: Luxury, Sport & Lifestyle, Fnac and Redcats. In 2012, the main brands of the Group are:
(cut others)
Redcats (100% share) is an American and European group of brands specialized in home shopping on the Internet. The brands are : La Redoute, Ellos, Brylane, Cyrillus, Vertbaudet, Somewhere, Daxon, Chadwick's and Castaluna, OneStopPlus.com, BrylaneHome, Woman Within, Jessica London, Roaman's, King Size, The Sportsman's Guide and The Golfwarehouse.
So Redcats owns those, and Redcats is owned by PPR (used to be known as Pinault-Printemps-Redoute) They all come under this mass corporation; which also have 51% or more shares in various other "fashion brands" So Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent etc. (in my understanding of it all)
So if you go to OneStopPlus.co.uk (our uk version of the .com above) it works as a "mall" for plus size. lists all of the stuff from other catalogues in their group/range. Saves you having to look and look over several same company, different catalogues, sites. Also scrolling down the page lists more sites in their "group"0 -

Thank you for posting the link, I'd say that their choice is terms of styles and range of plus sizes is rather limited.0 -

I used to buy most of my clothes from Ann Harvey, but don't anymore.
Their latest collection is the worst ever, dull dull dull!:(

It used to be much more fun, I've got some nice pieces from years back, colourful, fun to wear, but I haven't bought anything for ages now, too boring (and they use too much polyester, which I can't wear, they used to have more viscose).
One thing I really liked is that they had some lovely bright colours, but every year the colour would be different to what the other retailers were selling, (misjudging trends perhaps?)... and I could buy something original instead of what everybody else was wearing.
Good prices in sales, and the quality was great, I've got stuff I bought quite a few years back and it's still going strong.

Well, I must admit that I actually bought something from Evans this week.
A green short sleeved checked shirt.
I spend 99% of my time wearing t shirts (I have a couple of black shirt style tshirts from Matalan), checked shirts, jeans, trainers/dms and cardies.
I like natural warm colours, green, maroon, plum, cherry, black and browns and natural fabrics (although that isn't always possible due to the price and availability). I cannot do long boots, heels, pumps as I have RA and stuffed ankle/foot joints.
If I ever got to go out somewhere [snorts with laughter], I have a calf length black straight skirt and a black blouse with corset style lacing up the back. Sort of vintagey.
I HATE cool colours as they make me look dead. They don't go with gingery blonde and white hair and freckles. I detest getting my boobs or my legs out and tbh, think a lot of the Evans stuff is designed for 6 foot tall streetwalkers with huge boobs and skinny legs.
I have stumpy, fat legs, a huge backside, huge stomach (no pair of trousers known has been able to fit legs, thighs, belly and the narrow bit at my back - everything is held up with leather belts) and then a fairly pathetic top half where I would tchnically be something in minus cup sizes. I also have a bunch of muscles in my arms as a result of playing various string instruments. So my lower arms are ok.
Oh, and I'm a short leg fitting but standard everywhere else. So I have none of those special features they seem to think should be hanging out.
[sob]
On top of everything else, the RA means I can't be doing with fancy stuff that takes loads of upkeep.
Seems pretty hopeless to me.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Just {{{{hugs}}} for JoJo....Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

JoJo, What about this?
Made of cotton. Wouldn't need ironing if you hung it up straight out of the washer. It's basically a T shirt but with a little bit more style.

Too bright?
What about this one? Not cotton, but very easy care and a bit "Mad Men"

or this? Again, basically a cotton T shirt with a bit of extra style.

Actually tried some of these on today. No 1 is a weird fabric. It's a bit stiff and gapey. No 2 is a shapeless dish rag.
How disappointing! Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
Can anyone recommend a plastic waterproof mac typed coat. I don't want padding, I don't want massive prices, and it needs to be around 26-28 and able to come in the next week.
I'm thinking maybe those that look like bin bags, but a bit posherOR those that are looking like a coat somewhat, but literally are just a plastic overcoat, can be folded up small. Off on hols soon, and I'm wanting to take something like that, as I can do coats, but nothing that's really waterproof.
I search anything like festival overcoat and they don't do big sizes
I will literally live with a tent typed thing (fat person wearing a tent makes me cry) but for a very short period and if it ticks the boxes, I will live with it.0
