as we haven't ridden for a few years and i'm too fat to fit in my original gear (dd wears that) i want and need a new jacket and trousers. fancy the diva jacket http://www.jtsbikerclothing.com/shop/products/leather_jackets/ladies/jts_diva_ladies_leather_motorcycle_jacket/pink.html

Nice. I'm sure they didn't do size 28 when I was looking. Are you able to go to a bike show? Loads of bargains and lots of choice of clothing. If not, why not call them and see if they can measure the exact sizes of any clothing you like. I'm sure they'll be happy to help as much as possible. I had Kevlar lined jeans made to measure when I got back into biking several years ago. Joys of being 'plus size' and very short! :o They are very well made, although I'll be happy when I can get back into my leathers again. Well done for buying proper bike gear, too. :T Far too many people take risks with their clothing. Riding without gloves??? Crazy!
Will have a look at the JTS site for when I need new gear. Nice to see that they have expanded their size range for us girls. :)

Just found this on the site too-in case you hadn't spotted it...

i'm slimming worlding at the mo, we're off to the TT this year so i think i will buy a bit nearer when hopefully i might be a bit smaller, and we will have a run out to the factory shop, i did fancy a hot pink jacket but think maybe thats too much, but the diva is quite tasteful

it was indeed thanks for passing the credit on terra ferma xxx

    Ooops sorry about that :o

The long Stadium Squall Coat arrived today. (Tall XL). It's lovely and fits just right. Same quality as the shorter version but much better proportioned, tho quite snug at the hips. There's def more room across the back and shoulders, also the sleeves are a good inch and a half longer than the shorter parka version in XL. The only niggle for me is the hood is a bit small and quite bulky where it attaches to the collar, but I prob' won't use it anyway. Other than that I def recommend the coat. It's v good value.

Max, what have you decided to do with yours? I can see why you didn't want to send it back, it's a shame that the Tall fitting items seem to stop at size XL.

Also, has anyone tried Land's End knitwear or t-shirts? I'm tempted as I can't find any decent quality ones at sale prices that aren't poor quality. I'm fed up with the ones from Evans etc they seem to fall apart after a couple of washes.

If I were you I'd buy tall, but you can order both and return the one that doesn't fit, if you are unsure. You'll have to pay for both initially, but they do free returns.
Sadly, no, Landsend don't do free returns. I 've given up buying from them online, for that reason. Shoes, particularly, are very expensive to return.

I now only buy from them if I can go to one of their shops and try things on before buying. As the nearest one is 100 miles away, I don't buy from them often!

 you are right, I never returned anything, nearly did a couple of times, must have been very lucky. I've been giving the wrong information ooops...

Yes, I just returned the black stadium coat, and had to pay £3 to have it collected by Hermes, but that will be refunded because I chose a replacement. I ordered the same one in red, in the bigger size. I called them, and they said there was only one showing as in stock, and they couldn't be sure it was still available as the stock doesn't update simultaneously. So I have to call tomorrow to see if they have it available to send to me, otherwise they'll refund this second amount. Waiting game again....

By the time I finally get the perfect coat, it'll be summer at this rate....lol

I really wanted a black one, but hey! Wouldn't hurt to be a bit daring I guess, I'm only 34 so I suppose it would be ok....Red though. :o

Hopefully they will be adding more lines to the sale soon

34 is a great age to be daring you go girl! I've only just got around to it at 44 but it's still good fun.

I've compared the XL plus size Shimmer Down coat and the tall range stadium squall. They are the same size across the shoulders and upper back. the hips are the same but the stadium is narrow from hip to hem. So I guess you could say the down caot is roomier than the shorter sqall parka (maybe).

I'm on the hunt for quality knitwear and cotton tops that will last a good few years. Other than Lands End and Woolovers I couldn't find any. As for t shirts, I'll be going to back to Lands end for them.

    Found this site by accident:

    www.navabi.co.uk

Very exspensive but some lovely unusual pieces. Def for vip events (now I just need to find some to gate-crash).:rotfl:

I have a couple of white t-shirts from the sale and the feel of the fabric is gorgeous. Haven't washed one yet, will let you know how it turns out.
