I've found that Landsend refund postage if you are exchanging for a different size or colour or indeed if the item is faulty of course. They also send the exchanges free of charge. Hermes do the collection service for £3 (refundable as above) no matter how many items are in the parcel but you need to have a decent printer for the return labels.
I like their tees and they do wash well time and time again.0 -

34 is a great age to be daring you go girl! I've only just got around to it at 44 but it's still good fun.
I've compared the XL plus size Shimmer Down coat and the tall range stadium squall. They are the same size across the shoulders and upper back. the hips are the same but the stadium is narrow from hip to hem. So I guess you could say the down caot is roomier than the shorter sqall parka (maybe).
I'm on the hunt for quality knitwear and cotton tops that will last a good few years. Other than Lands End and Woolovers I couldn't find any. As for t shirts, I'll be going to back to Lands end for them.
Found this site by accident:

Very exspensive but some lovely unusual pieces. Def for vip events (now I just need to find some to gate-crash).:rotfl:
lovely site, wow!
they are in Germany, they will be shipping from there, and returns may be expensive, but their website is really good!
They say the will refund as long as they receive the item within 14 days from receipt, but as it's international shipping and takes longer, it will leave you very little time to send back (me being the ususal fussy me:) )
great site though!0 -

I quite like some of the items in that shop but the postage adds up pretty quick if you want to order a few things. 50p discount per item still brings the postage up to almost £30.00 for the few things I would have ordered! All of them were light weight too so it would not cost that much to post - including the cost of the bag, padding, petrol to the post office etc :rotfl:When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -
Update on the Lands End coat saga...
I just received the red stadium coat in 3X, and it does fit. However, it's not that much bigger than the 2X I tried, and is still rather tight around the shoulders and a little short in the arms. Now I'm depressed....They really don't do vanity sizing, do they? I can't believe I had to get a size 28/30, when I wear a 24 everywhere else (26 in coats).
I'm keeping it though, I quite like the colour! And it's a lovely coat too.0 -
May I make a quick mention of Box2. (Sorry, I am not yet allowed to post links but they are easy to find if you Google it.) Not cheap but can be useful for a special occasion and stock some unusual items. You can sometimes pick up bargains in their clearance section although the sizes in there tend to be limited. What they do excel in is customer services. Purchases are normally with you within two days, sometimes even the following day, when I posted a return to them at 3pm one day I had received an email by 10am the following day acknowledging receipt and saying that a refund had been paid into my bank account.0

Glad you found one in the end Max. Don't be too depressed I think the sizing is a bit erratic. My t-shirts & tops arrived today all size 2XL and all fit very differently. I'll keep them because they are good quality and the sale price was v affordable. Hope you feel snuggly and warm in your new coat0 -
hey just a quick note to yours fans they have a 20% off and free next day delivery for new customers, code is on the main page of website, ive already posted it here on discount vouchers board if you want to look for it, it works on sale items, and you dont necessarily have to sign up, i just chose the quick checkout via paypal option and it worked for me

Off at a tangent slightly, but Lands End have an unconditional guarantee, so you can return an item at any time if not satisfied, and if the item is faulty or substandard they will refund your postage.
I returned a swimsuit once, from which a thread round the leg elastic had started to unravel. I'd had it for well over a year, but I liked it, so asked for a replacement. They sent me a replacement and a refund of £20 - the difference between the price I paid and the price it was in the Sale for at the time I returned it!
I've found most of their stuff to be excellent quality and generously sized, and on the odd occasions things haven't been satisfactory I've always found they've been more than fair.
I buy most of my tee shirts and cotton knits there, - most of my clothes in fact :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
