Well, I called NHS Direct - seems because of the swine flu, they are giving a call back time of FIVE hours  But, it seems the new walk in centre is open and is about a ten minute walk away so I shall have some breakfast and toddle down there.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Morning All
Hope your eyes settle down soon Soappie.
Mudders - I'm not too far away if you need anything - hope your DS is sorted quickly - hugs.
Didn't finish my bedroom yesterday and actually doesn't look that different even though I removed 3 bags of rubbish and 3 bags of stuff to rehome out of it yesterday. Not sure what's on the agenda for today - we'll have to see.
Have a good day all

Pill taken and tea and toast being scoffed so doing a catch-up, however it won’t be as comprehensive as toots’
Toots – yestutorial went well. Quite a mix of ages and progress. At least two others are behind like me as they also have exams coming up. However I was tired by the time I got home. Please take care of yourself, dear, and if you are too tired to do one of your marathon posts just let someone know you are OK. We worry when you disappear.
Soappie – get an app. With the Sunday surgery NOW. Can you get someone to drive you in case they give you some treatment which temporally affects your vision?
SarahS – sorry I missed your birthday
Rach – glad the app. went well – it does help when you can see the right man.
Greenbee – hope you are feeling brighter now you are home and the call on Tuesday clears up the problems. It’s an interesting insight learning how these international organisations work.
Grateful – that surgery set-up sounds crazy. I do have concerns about all and sundry having access to patient records, but out of hours docs must be able to access them.
Rosepink – love the description of you getting the bath clean :rotfl:
AnW’sMum – thanks for keeping us up to date about toots and how well AnW are doing.
Very impressed by all the decorating and new carpeting that is going on – think wilf holds the title though.
OK I need to get moving so apologies and hugs to anyone I have missed.
Special strength and healing vibes to Lady-L, toots and mudder’s DS0 -
Morning all
Will do some more flying later, for now I need to shower and leave in 15 mins max to get the bus to church. Bus stop opposite us seems to be closed as they are digging up the road so I'll ahve to walk to the next one. Should just about do it as I don't need to wash my hair! Do need to eat though....oops
soappie - hope the eye gets sorted!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

crafty even the doc thinks its bonkers. We did have a chat about a drug he thought would be good for DD1, that our GP has never mentioned (i suspect as its expensive) and the on-call doc said we should move surgeries if cost is an issue for a 6 yr old with a chronic condition.
soappie wear the shades anyway, when we had neighbours from hell, I wore mine all the time. They get bored if they can't see your reactions to things properly!!
wm on, jazz singer last night was ace, met someone from old work who I haven't seen for four years, which was lovely. Fire lit, mountain of ironing to do.
eta rosepink good to see you. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Well that was quick and easy and efficient. I am seriously impressed I've walked there, got seen within two minutes. Nice young, probably recently qualified, Scottish Doctor. Says it's definitely conjunctivitis but not bacterial so either allergic or viral.
I have a script for antihistamines just in case but he says they're probably cheaper off the shelf. I've walked back and have another cup of tea - all within about half an hour.
As soon as the chemist opens at 11 I'm off up there....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I’m in complete shock about Stephen Gately, I can’t believe it. I wonder how Louis Walsh will be on X-Factor tonight, I wonder if he will even be able to appear. What a shock to wake up to.
I’ve got to go and sort the car out today, a family of three have phoned up for a lift to the Bible meeting today, so I really will have to finish unpacking! It’s a good thing really, otherwise I would probably put it off for days! I’m such a procrastinator!
Embb, I think you will look fab with your new hairstyle, you go girl!
Soappie, I hope your eyes clear up, I don’t think you should drive today if you can’t see very well. Get them checked out. eta: just seen you are going to do that!
