Morning all
Dull and miserable here, trying to rain. I did put a load of washing out but it's back in and draped round now.
We were planning to go out but that's cancelled because of the weather so I'm going to do the roast for lunchtime now.
Not much else going on. Hope your eyes clear up soon Soappie.
Well done Haydn0 -
Morning all!
Thanks to all of you who thought of me this week. Unfortunately my observation on Monday morning was given an extrememly unfair "inadequate" grading by deputy who hates me. My TA and I were completely shocked as the lesson had challenged my low ability set and the objective had been on the framework to teach. Previous teacher said that it was definitely progression on what they'd done last year, but deputy and mentor have said I won't have any written feedback as they are giving me another chance to do another observation in a couple of weeks. They aren't listening to my appeals, so I'll just have to get on with it and hope that next time, they give me a better grade. Was feeling extremely depressed at the beginning of the week because of this, and even tried to call the teacher's counselling service on Monday night who were engaged. At least I know that everyone I've spoken to thinks the grading and feedback were unfair. My colleagues have all said that they will help me plan the next one as soon as I know when it'll be.
Was in school yesterday morning for a couple of hours as we had "The Big Draw" event (lots of drawing activities where families can come along with their children) in school and I had to help out.
I've got a pile of 20 odd writing assessments to level today as I'm slowly working through them all and did about 6 last night.
House is a bit of a state as I've not had a moment to think this week and have been really tired as I've not been sleeping properly because of all of the stress either. OH has been really good and did lots of washing on Friday and the hoovering, but he hasn't put any of the washing away so I'll have that to do this evening too.
Sorry for all of the moaning lately. I was hoping things may have got a bit easier by now and that I'd be able to join you all in doing the lists again, but 5 weeks in, and it hasn't. Still, only 2 weeks until half term! Can't wait!
Hope everyone else is well. Happy Birthday to anyone I've missed and congratulations, hugs and condolences where appropriate.

Well done Haydn...
Wilf you are allowed to add 'inappropriate posts' at the weekend.. and for something so wonderful you can share whenever you wish! you are very justified in being proud of Haydn and his achievements!
and don't tell him I said so but he is a rather handsome young man.... I wouldn't want to embarrass him of course.

For Valli,
She paused and sighed
those feelings came
sweeping over, like a sudden rush of air.
Turning to go back inside, her heart swelled
as it does when in love or loved.
Caught by the moment she turned and saw
the scene, a snapshot of perfect
as her washing danced in the breeze
Valli smiled,
her pegs matched.
That was lovely - thank you
Sexymouse - I am concerned you are being set up for a fall here, please contact your union and keep a record. To give you an observation and then refuse to give you written feedback is unprofessional; if there is an 'improvement' you will have no record and 'inadequate' is not an accepted grading as far as I know - should be unsatisfactory/satisafactory/good/very good/outstanding.
You should be given action points - not 'that was no good; we'll do it again in two weeks...'

Morning all
Been busy flying trying to get my list finished today - bathroom done so off for a shower now.
Sexy - big hugs, it just all sounds so wrong. I was watching something on the teachers channel (never new that existed) last week about assessments for NQTs and the support and feedback they were getting looked really good, so sorry that is not the case in your school.
Soappie hope your eye improves

OK washed, dressed, bed changed and WM on. Think I will do a general 'tidy-up' and get back to the studying tomorrow.0 -
I'm currently in the middle of a disagreement with DH about the kitchen - he wants to put a rug in the middle of the main cooking/sink/food preparation area of the kitchen - I've told him no way as it'll be a trip hazard and get covered in food stains. Any thoughts? Am I being unreasonable or just practical?
Wilf - well done to Haydn - what a pro!I'd rather be watching CSI!0 -
thanks everyone you should see him when the old dears at golf want to kiss him

Sexym - big hugs, lets hope the next assessment is fairer
Wilf - you must be really, really proud of young Haydn and I agree with Piggers, he's a handsome young man. You're not too bad looking yourself
Likkleg - I wouldn't put a rug or a carpet in the kitchen. I had a kitchen with one in it once and it was a nightmare to clean.
Nipped up to Asda and got some bits and pieces and some drugs. I've just popped one so we'll see what happens next. If there's no improvement, then I won't take the next one.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
