greenbee - probably the travel/jetlag and stress of a new situation getting to you. Just read back about your boss. Sounds like he's not up to it, but as you say you don't have to see him often, see how communicating for a distance goes I guess. Will you be working from home now?Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Sorry for the serial posting, but I forgot that I hadn't mentioned how I got on at the hospital (endocrinologist for pcos) yesterday...some of you might be interested!
It went well, I saw the consultant this time rather than the registrar, and he actually listened to me and talked with me like the intelligent woman I am! As I am having regular periods since coming off the pill he doesn't think I need to go on medication and can't see that there will be any problems conceiving. Losing weight will help but he was aware I'm trying hard and that I've not been able to do much exercise as I've had a recurring sinus infection for 2 months! He also said he doesn't believe in lecturing patients. I felt very reassured and relieved, will see how it goes when we start trying to get pregnant!

Apparently I'm supposed to be office-based, which is a complete waste of time! I have a call with HR (my HR manager is based in Australia) on Tuesday, and I'm going to go through some of the stuff I'm concerned about based on the difference between what I was told in the interview and what the reality appears to be! I will be making a list on Monday... I kept all my notes!
Glad the hospital went well, and hopefully the consultant's support will help with the weight loss. My GP is happy that I'm trying to resolve my problems through diet and exercise, even when I'm not particularly successful!

Now have an AEG, six years on, no trouble.
Before I got my first Bosch, I inherited an AEG from my mum. She brought it with her when she moved over here from Germany, but didn't have any space for it in her new home and I had it for ages (another 10 years or so, I think). Admittedly, it had to be seen to a couple of times, but apart from that it was great.0 -
Sarah - Please excuse my manners! I forgot to include your birthday wishes this morning.

greenbee - good luck with the call! I don't think I actually know what your new job is!
Hair is great thanks, I was put off the previous place I was going as the guy I used to have left and it took the woman who did it last time ages, partly because she was doing 2 people at once - I didn't like that! I don't want to waste half my precious day off in the hairdressers! The girl today was very good, quick, efficient but clearly a good stylist. As my hair is quite long and I didn't want a completely new style she didn't take loads off but it's a nicer shape, especially at the front!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
