I've mainly been preparing food (rather badly) today. Some days I just can't cook - why is that? I blame AF. Good job they are close friends coming tonight - it's looking a disaster so far!

Question:- I pay about £30 for a haircut and blow dry, but feel I am being ripped off, so what as an average do you all pay..... thank you

I pay £20 for a cut and blow dry and £45 for my highlights, but my hairdresser is a mobile one so has less overheads.

Well their bed has gone to their new home so they won't be sleeping here tonight!

Evening everyone. Did the dailies this morning then hoovered right through. Have been out with DD the rest of today. We went to another town which I havent been for ages. We had lunch and did some shopping. It was lovely to spend some quality time just the two of us. It brought memories back too as mum used to go there every Sat in a taxi.

    Afternoon all

    Happy Birthday SarahS:bdaycake:

I've washed, dried and put away a load of washing, it's been a beautiful day here.

We took the dog out for a nice walk this afternoon.

    I vacuumed through downstairs.

But first of all I made my Christmas cake. It took nearly five hours to bake and it's on the cooling tray now and smells lovely. Just got to feed it when it's cool and then store it away for a few weeks.

I've nearly caught up but time to serve up tea now, hope everyone's OK.

We have started on our half term quest and have started painting the kitchen, the WM should be back in by bedtime which is good because we have a mountain of washing, shame OH is off work and has time to do the ironing :D

Going to finish the painting tomorrow and put some cable covers up. If there is time and the weather is fine we are going to try for another cut of the grass.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend

I have just paid £45, but it was the top priced person in a good salon (on the edge of London). I only usually go 3/4 times a year, though I might go a bit more often as by the time I get around to going my hair looks awful!

Have done Mr S and Mr M&S, got the £10 deal for us tomorrow and some bits to fulfil the meal plan for next week. Might take the wine to friends tonight and keep the oyster bay I'd bought to take ;)

ooooh, and I bought this for my travelcard and a bit of cash for work - save me having my whole purse there. bit naughty but I rarely treat myself these days!

I pay A LOT more than that... but don't feel I'm being ripped off as I'm very happy with the results. So I guess that's the question - if you don't feel that you're getting value for money you either need to find someone who'll do a better job or someone cheaper (preferably both!)

Been shopping... feeling tired, sick and headachy so think I might have a bath and go to bed!
