Like the others have said, Soappie, well done on your floorboards. They are stunning xx
Pigpen, have a great weekend...
Greenbe... Im glad your home safely x
PenPen... I know it wasnt genuine upset, hence my tongue-n-cheek response.
I cant remember anything else, sorry.
Off to cosy on the sofa with teeny and watch back to the future xxxxSometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Thursdeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ~ Bathroom, loo and study! Done!!:D:D:D
Level One
Level Two
Level Three
Never got back to report on HHC - which went haywire anyway, as shopping delivery arrived, then had to pick up DD, buy petrol, drop off DS1, have lunch, pick up DS2 and friend - then I managed to find time to do the bathroom!
For my 'me time' I went into town, tried on and bought my shoes, and did one or two other bits - and my favourite fabric and wool shop had 20% off everything, so I treated myself to a beautiful hand dyed style sock wool in shades of blue, that I have been coveting for a while. Not sure who to knit these for, I just like knitting socks.:D
***I've pm'd boodle, but just in case anyone else saw the post about possible redcurrants - it is pretty unlikely that the red berries would be redcurrants at this time of the year, as they ripen in July. There are a number of poisonous plants tha thave red berries, including one of the nightshade family. Please don't try anything you're not 100% certain about!!***
It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Greenbee - big hugs on your nightmare journey at least you're home, safe now. Your satnav story reminds me of the time NN and I holidayed in Worcestershire. We wanted to go somewhere, had no maps but the satnav kept trying to take us down a road that was well and truly closed. Every diversion we took, it took us back to it. Moral of the story - it's like the air traffic control system - by all means use satnav, but do have your manual back up to hand just in case...
Well hopefully my boss has now learnt that!
I've been to the open evening at the salon, had a gossip and booked a hot stone massage for Sunday as I feel the need for a bit of indulgence!
If anyone is interested in the history of housework... have a listen to this!
I suppose I should have a bath, but don't think I can be bothered. I might just make a hot water bottle and go to bed.
Tomorrow I need to get cash, go to the farm shop, meal plan for next week, do the washing, mow the lawn, plan my clothes for next week and keep working on the utility room and study.
Oh yes... and I need to chase for the woodstove quote and make a decision on the hedge/garage demolition quotes!0 -

I'm not sure they'll like it, but I do this (for three of us, for a hearty lunch)...
MissH
Thanks for that (and the kind words).
I'll definitely try that, but maybe taking out the bits of sausage and blending the rest, before putting sausage and beans back in.
I made soup with carrots, potatoes, salami etc a while ago. DS1 asked if it was 'credit crunch soup' - cheeky beggar!0 -
Evening
Catch up first
JillD - nice to see you back. Like the idea of a life handbook, I'd need DH to do one for me though with all the logins and passwords for things he wont let me at online bills and bank accounts among them!!
LG - car outside for an hour? there's an old saying that if you see a car with more than 2 blokes in it they are either coppers or up to no good.
MSD - you sound like a really supportive friend, dont forget to look after yourself x
hypno - well done on doing all 5 days and good luck for the drive
Penguin - hope you have a great birthday
Dusty - loved the friday story
AJmoney - Another one proud of what you and your comrades do for everyone of us
piggers - where you off to for the weekend, somewhere nice?
dusty - we use these for ski jackets, very good service and reasonable too http://www.trekwear.co.uk/
rach - hi hope you ok, I missed what your visit was for, hope nothing serious
Jill - pigpen could tell you about WM's. ETA I see she already has. Our independant chappie recommended a Bosch as being one of the better machines and he told us with a new machine to use calgon every few washes as it will prevent build up but wont get rid of whats already there, and he said use half the recommended amounts of powder and fabric conditioner as all the surplus does is clogs the machine and costs you more.
Greenbee - sounds like a nightmare trip. As for your boss I'd tell him how you felt ang guage his reactionto determine if you could still work for/with him. He just may not have a clue how he came across and may value you enough to think about how he treated you.
MissH - the soup sounds gorgeous.
Massive hugs still for Mudders DS, Toots and LadyLib.
To everyone else have a great weekend whether flying or not.
So far since work I have
cooked tea
cleared away
S/S kitchen
sorted washing
Put 1st lot on
and thats it!
I'm not going to do any more tonight, will have an early night and get up early to crack on tomorrow.
See you all thenMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

So you like them then?
:D
How did you guess? DS3 is always schlepping around the house in them too:rolleyes:
I have had countless 'discussions' with OH about the need for a paper map despite satnav - he has finally come around to my way of thinking. It's a man thing. Hope you sleep well tonight xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
