Aw I hope they are feeling better soon, Mrs Chaos. DH's mother used to always give him egg when poorly. I find it a bit too rich, tbh, but older books seem to advocate it for sensitive tums.

Right, off to make lunch and give the kitchen a quick S&S in the process :) We are going for a walk afterwards as there is what seems to be blackcurrants and redcurrants where we went past yesterday. Some are poking through "our side" of the fence of a council building but there are loads of what I think are redcurrants behind the fence - the land is not for the public and has trespass warnings everywhere. :( Such a sad waste. I think I might buzz the entrance and be cheeky enough to ask to speak to someone inside. If they don't allow us in to pick some at least at might draw the staff's attention to them so they don't all go to waste!
Love and compassion to all x

    A washing machine poll:

We have a 10 year old Dyson washing machine, it is making terrible noises, but this would be the 3rd call out in less than 2 years costing £300 total.
Should we cut our losses and get a new machine ? Or continue to keep getting the Dyson fixed ?
I do like it but its noisy and very big. On the plus side though it washes well and washes loads at once, easily a double load a time.

And then - please recommend me your machine!

    TIA

I had to replace my washer earlier this year after only 5 1/2 years. We could maybe have got it fixed, but I had a backlog of washing and I was desperate to get it sorted. This is my second Bosch, and I'm really pleased with it. I always check which magazine's best buys before bying any big appliances, though. Good luck.

JillD.. my last 4 and the 2 machines I have now have been Zanussi.. bear in mind I run 2 machines at once and they get a LOT of hammer.. I have been known to ram double duvets in them.. They have been the best by far. I do intend trying a Bosch next time.. as they do have good reviews but I have been more than happy with my zanussi's .. The 2 I have now, one I have had 4 years and has been 'fixed' twice.. both times it had something stuck in the waste pipe.. and the 6 year old machine has been fixed about 5 times, couple of times it was blocked, the pump went once and the circuit board blew once and the heating element has been replaced too. The door hinge is warped now so I am needing it sorting really, but it is ok for now it works fine still.

Weekend bag packed.. bags found for lappy and text books.. I'll feel bit of a numpty taking work with me, but it has to be done I guess!

I am off to find a bag of clothes for the littlies to take to their dads, I have invested innew stuff for them when they are here so he can have some of their older stuff I don't mind getting wrecked at the park!.. He takes them there because it is free and they don't make a mess in his house... They just trash mine lol

I have tidied the middle room so it is reasonable and safe for Jacob to play in.. it is only 1/4 vacuumed though as he was scared of my Henry :( .. I'll do it later.

OH unsnaggled all the cables for the consoles and PC so they all look nice and tidy now.

I have thrown out a carrier of rubbish and a printer! :D

I'll fling harpic down the bog before we set off later and the sink I excelled myself and cleaned the other day is filthy.. I discovered the problem with keeping it clean.. kittens and Hazel drink from the taps in there.. and in the loo so they are constantly looking nasty. I do close the lid when harpic is doing it's job so don't think I will poison my mini-mogs!!!

Just a flying visit - no flying done of course. We're still in hospital and DS is still very poorly. They're now concerned that there's another underlying problem with him. He's incredibly brave but the bouts of pain he's living through, now on a daily basis, is heartbreaking. He now has a breathing technique that would put most women in labour to shame! We're hoping for more tests tomorrow and i've just come home for the evening to sleep - DH is with him tonight.

Thanks for vibes for my DS - they all mean so much.

Massive hugs to LL and toots xx

Serena - thanks, for your lovely PMs xxxxx

Hope to be back and getting in trouble soon! xxxx

    Mudders

Is there any thing any of us can do to help out in any way.

    Hugs to you all xxxx

Finally I am getting there. I have spent the last 25ish minutes emailing people that I hope can help me with the research for my Masters and forwarding emails from the tutors to some of the other guys on the course seeing as I seem to be the only one they are corresponding with at the moment.

    FRIDAY’S LIST

Look through cupboard of presents and put into inventory
Try and enrol for 2nd year of Masters Tried ringing student admissions again, they still aren't answering or returning my calls. Time to get the tutor involved I think!
