    Morning everyone.
    Going well so far today:
    - everyone up, dressed, breakfasted
    - emptied DW
    - cleaned post breakfast carnage
    - walked to school and back
    - did my me time - an hour with a magazine in the gym's cafe while DD2 in creche - skived off the gym tho...
    - put a wash on
    - scrubbed the kitchen sink
    - replaced towels downstairs
    - decluttered a load of special kids stuff into keepsake boxes

Need to do lunch and then I want to do a bit of clearing in DH's study, can't even get in the door as it has become a dumping ground this week while he was away. There is even a bed headboard and 2 tents in there  and its only about 5 ft sq and full of furniture anyway.
Now he is back he will want to unpack his work stuff into it (he arrived back at 11.00 and went to bed at 11.30 - jetlag - sigh :rolleyes:
If I have time I will do my 30 min on Wii Fit.while DD2 asleep.

    Hi :j
Hope things go well Mudders - keep strong.

Couldn't watch the service, I'd have sobbed all the way through. We all owe them so much.

Almost didn't log on today as I thought it would be RoD and that I would get cross with myself because it has got in such a mess. But, no, what's this? Chicken Song? Only my third week, so haven't seen this before..

Friday ~ The Chicken Song... ALL DONE!!!!!
    Level One
[STRIKE]Clear the floor in a neglected room[/STRIKE] Moved all the stuff off RoD floor
[STRIKE]Change any bedding that hasn't been done recently[/STRIKE] Washed sleeping bag
[STRIKE]Evict some spiders![/STRIKE] Couldn't find any in flat, so went the flat's bin room and did that - they can run can't they?
    Level Two
[STRIKE]De-grot a hotspot!.. all of one.. the whole mound.. what did you find underneath?[/STRIKE] Did the top of wardrobes in RoD so that I could store the stuff off the floor up there so I can clean. Why have I got class lists from 4 years ago and scribbled notes from meetings that I can't read? But did find a fancy dress pattern book that I've been looking for for ages - DGS might get some more dress up clothes
[STRIKE]HH-something.. study, exercise, challenge, garden, iron.. what did you do?[/STRIKE] HHE
[STRIKE]Empty and clean out a cupboard.. fling the stuff you don't need and put back neatly the stuff you do![/STRIKE] Apart from the top of the wardrobes which would probably have counted, I entered the dark world of inside one of the wardrobes (mainly coats) - another bag to the charity shop.
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Spend half an hour doing something for YOURSELF!.. hair, nails or simply a bath!.. What did you do?[/STRIKE] Bath - I was SO dusty after top of wardrobe clearing and re-stacking
    [STRIKE]S&S the kitchen and bathroom[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Vacuum a fluffy floor![/STRIKE] All of the carpet in RoD has seen the vacuum except under the wardrobes.

    Extras
    1. Wash any windows you have left and can now no longer see out of! (that would be all of mine!)
    2. Wash any curtains that need it and put up your winter weight ones
    3. binbag dance
    4. Wash the sticky paintwork in one room!
So another star today please TOOTS - I'm sure I've achieved my first 5 Star week! I am so chuffed. Still got a load to do in RoD and it is far from perfect, but at least it is getting cleaner and more cleared by the day! Thank you for your help!

Another bin bag of paper for recycling + a bin bag of shredding

    Hope everyone is OK-ish

    Afternoon all

    Happy Birthday penguin83:bdaycake:

I got a bit confused with today's list (it doesn't take much) but I think I've achieved something. My bedding is already done and all the floors are clear. I washed the cats blankets today and put clean ones on. No spiders/webs here that I can see. No hotspots (of mine, I can't touch DH's). I've watched Corrie and Ghost Hunters (something for myself). I've wrapped DS's Christmas presents as there's a chance he could visit in the next week or so and I want them hidden.

I've weighed out the fruit for the Christmas cake that I plan to make tomorrow and it's soaking in Southern Comfort. The recipe says brandy but I only have SC so that will do. I've also cut out the greaseproof to line the tin so I can get straight on in the morning. Want to get it in early because it takes a long time to cook.

    I hope that covers everything!

Nearly time to start cooking dinner so I'll just catch up a bit until then. Hope everyone's OK.

Just popping on to send my love to mudbath and her family. Prayers and vibes that they find out what the problem is.

Hope everyone else is ok. I'm back from the hospital and about to go into London proper with DH. Hospital was positive, saw the consultant this time - what a difference from the registrar!!

did you mean your child is older but you thought something fine for babies would be ok for poorly tums too? :o

That's what I thought. I've had two very small bowls of it now :D, and it seems to be ok. DS2 (5) won't touch it, so he's sticking to banana. I'm going to try mashed potato for tea, I think.

Have done: S&S in bathroom, WM x 1 (about to peg washing out and reload WM), had a bath and got dressed. Time for some paracetamol, herbal tea and a HHC, I think.

Hope everyone else's day is going well.

    A washing machine poll:

We have a 10 year old Dyson washing machine, it is making terrible noises, but this would be the 3rd call out in less than 2 years costing £300 total.
Should we cut our losses and get a new machine ? Or continue to keep getting the Dyson fixed ?
I do like it but its noisy and very big. On the plus side though it washes well and washes loads at once, easily a double load a time.

And then - please recommend me your machine!

    TIA

The problem is that as I have peeled back the layers of chaos this week, I have noticed far more that needs to be done! The next few weeks will hopefully solve this, but in some ways it was a bit of a disappointment to see just how shabby things are!

Onwards and upwards though......I'm getting there!

You've done really well this week - I'm nowhere near as far as that. I know what you mean, though. The list just feels endless once you take a closer look. We'll get there eventually, I'm sure.
