:j:j:j A full house for me today :j:j:j Please can I have a star toots?

Carol, be careful with that back/neck..... get it checked out soon if it is not something you have had before and if it doesn't go away.

I'm setting off in an hour or so to take the children skiing for the weekend.....OH is staying at home, so I hope he keeps the house tidy while I am away. I don't expect him to continue with the decluttering, but I will not be happy if I come home to find that my hard work this week has been undone!

The problem is that as I have peeled back the layers of chaos this week, I have noticed far more that needs to be done! The next few weeks will hopefully solve this, but in some ways it was a bit of a disappointment to see just how shabby things are!

Onwards and upwards though......I'm getting there!

Later, when she was settling into her seat on the plane, she rummaged through her purse and discovered the bag of cookies she'd purchased, still unopened.
I gasped out loud at this!!!!
Being sure is not the same as being right. Certainty without humility can lead to self-righteousness that distorts our view and understanding of the world and of people.

Humility doesn't require us to be equivocal or doubtful about our deepest convictions. What it asks is that we hold and advocate our beliefs without dismissing the possibility that others may be right instead.

This is Michael Josephson reminding you that character counts.
Tis is so true. We have a friend who believes he is right about everything. Often he is (he would be my Who Wants to be a Millionaire Phone-A-Friend) but there always been part of him that really bugs me, and now I know what it is - he has no humility whatsoever. Thanks for this Dusty, very thought provoking.

Snow or water skiing? Where are you off to? Have fun

Wasted trip out. DS1 had a headache and was feeling ill so was really not pleasant to be with. I shared the cookie story with the boys. My lovely DS2 thought it was great, DS1 said and now you've made me want cookies. He is the one who needs to learn the moral of that story big time but is so the one who didn't get it:confused:

My meat from a new supplier has arrived so I'm cooking nitrate free bacon for DS2 to try for his lunch. Hoping to go back out with him later to look for a ski jacket somewhere else.
