Only managed to get a solid silver napkin ring today 50p. It was filthy and black. It's now nice and shiny!
I did see a dresser top there but DH wouldn't let me have it. He said he hates painted furniture.
Hopefully next time I go it won't be raining so hard and there will be less traders and more stalls.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -
Retail therapy on Friday and Saturday in the local chazzas -
A silver and marcasite brooch - a spray about 1½" long, 1950s, £10 - it's quite heavy, so the scrap value of the silver would be good, but it's very pretty and has all the marcasites, so I'll be wearing it..
a 1950's olive green jersey suit, with nice detailing, rectangular buttons and a real mink collar, £7...looks like it's never been worn and will do me very nicely this autumn.
A good modern oil of the local castle, well framed, £4 (the board and paint would have cost more)
2 very nice 1920s/1930s watercolours, again in good frames - £2.50 each. The only thing wrong with them was that the glass and frames were coated in nicotine, cleaned up easily!0 -
I got some nice clothes today for myself - a few Topshop dresses and tops, including a Kate Moss top which I wanted a few months ago when it was in store - it was about £65 but I bought it for £2 today
A lovely ladybird print scarf headband for 10p which looked brand new, although I've washed it just in caseNot been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/1550 -

I bought Too Cute Twins interactive dolls, virtually brand new for £5 (£40 in the shops) to put away for my DD's Christmas, so am very happy with that. Plus assorted lovely clothing for the kids, 20p-50p an item, a Barbie pet shop (all complete) £2, a fab rocking horse that is on wheels so you can take the rocker bit off and the kids can whizz about on it £1, and a brand new with all labels etc Baby Gap onesie that I will give to a friend who is expecting in September - 20p
We also sold some junk that would probably have gone in the bin, and made £60!0 -

You don't happen to live near Lincoln do you, cos the same thing has happened at my nearest Saturday CB. It starts at 12pm and parking is now £2, but if you arrive after 1.30pm it's only £1 to park, but then you miss most of the bargains! They've also put pitch prices up by a pound as we found out on Saturday, and they're trying to stop sellers leaving until 3pm by locking the gate!! Most buyers were gone by 2pm so they had to open the gate, not sure how they can force people to stay...Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000

You're all so lucky with your CS finds
Last time I had a look around the only thing I liked the look of was a small furry handbag. Looked at the tag and they were asking £15! It certainly doesn't look designer and it's not new either- needless to say it's still there!
My last bargain was a pair of Kangaroo platform trainers. Fab condition and I couldn't believe my luck when I saw they were my size... and they only wanted a fiver for them0 -
After having a carpy Bank Holiday was glad to get out to the chazza shops to cheer myself up today!
2 great finds to report....
M & S BNWT jeans £3. Price tag on showing £25 :j Grey, high waisted....had forgotten how comfy they are like that....bye bye muffin tops....tee hee
Also, a pleated, ('Fortuny' stylee), cardi-type jacket, also £3, in a dark beige/mink colour....I just lurve this....will look fab with a previous chazza shop buy of a white linen skirt.
Isn't it funny how a couple of good bargains can cheer you up.... :rotfl:0 -

We were out most of the day on Monday so didn't get a chance to try Hykeham or Whisby. It's a shame about Torksey, it's a decent start time, I wonder if the rise in fees will put people off buying/selling there??Extra savings aim for 2020 £4,000 £0/£4,000
