    I've just retuned from our local RSPCA and i bought 5 paperbacks for £2,a small plaque,very shabby chic and i also got a crocheted blanket for a £1,been after 1 of these for ages,its in the washer at the mo as it has a slight smell to it if yoiu know what i mean lol
  • ive not managed to get much out the CS over the past month or so.
    DId take the little one down today though and he got some football cones, spiral art, a bag of lego and 2 books for £4.00. am going to a sale tomorrow so will have to get there early to queue as only on twice a year and usually find some good stuff!!

    Got a lovely grey Principles thick top with ruched neck for £1, also a top for DS for 30p and a wee ornament (very nice stone with two birds) for 30p, also for 40p- small toys and a barking tail wagging Clifford the big red dog!

    Today was pretty quiet but I managed to get a BNWOT 100% silk dress from Betty jackson @ debenhams for £3 and a wool angora mix 40's style fur collared cardigan from Oasis BNWT for £3, a pair of BNIB red leather peep toe shoes from Office for £2. Not bad :)

    well went to the sale today, was at the front of the queue of a good couple hundred people. Managed to miss a couple bargains due to not being quick enough :-( was a kids ikea poang chair for £5
    still managed to get the kids a huge ELC medical set for £3, toy story laser blaster for £4 (only paid this much as id promised him one at disneyland but was £16 and possibly wouldnt have got it on the plane as gun shaped!)
    got some gap and next trousers and jumpers bnwt fpr £2 each

    True Romance Directors cut dvd for a pound + glossy mini promo posters for recentish films (ex rental shop display I think) for 20p each.

    Car was in garage yesterday so trawled the CS and picked up:
    DP Maxi dress £4
    Ditsy dress £4
    Topshop denim shorts £4
    Jacqmar scarf 25p

    Sainsburys Tu brown linen trousers - BNWT marked £15 @ £4.50

    (And a bagful of clothes and school uniform passed down from a friend's lad, which I'll give her some money for but will be fab!)

    I've just moved to London, can anyone give me any idea of carboots here. The nearest one to me is Killburn, it says St Augustine School, but I couldn't find it yesterday!
    There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
